But that’s after keeping track of the trial and not deciding I know better.

You mentioned her body temp. She was lying on the ground. It was January. She had lost blood. She was in shock. Her core temp was taken at the hospital not where and when she was found. This isn’t me this was the expert talking about it at trial. It is more than possible her temp would have been that after a couple of hours in the condition she was in.

Where did I say I know better?? Im just interested in it. I have watched the entire trial (not highlights) the actual trial. And no tiktok stuff.

I never heard that bit about them saying her temp was taken at the hospital. It was taken by the paramedics on the scene. And it was too low for the timeline to make sense. What I heard was she had to have been lying in the snow for over an hour for that low a temp. So its all a bit confusing.

OhBotherSaidPoo · 12/08/2026 16:15

What really sticks out for me is his testimony that she told him the kids bodies were in the basement.
As she was hypothermic, lying in snow, throat and wrists slashed, cerebral spinal fluid leaking from her nose, thyroid broken.
And every single medical professional who attended have testified she was not able to speak at all. In fact she was barely alive.

Exactly! Apparenlty it would have been impossible for her to speak with her injuries but he says she did, and she confessed to him. Hmmm....

But she'd only jumped out of the window at best about 10 minutes before Patrick arrived back and the ambulance was quick to the scene about 30 minutes later - Patrick delayed calling the ambulance. About 10 minutes.

I was speaking about those who are talking about things which they could easily research. That’s my original comment.

The core temp taken at the house was never going to be as accurate as the one taken at the hospital. So by the time she was found and went to hospital, throw in her injuries, the ground temp, the loss of blood. It was even mentioned they had started to warm her back up but the expert still insisted it was absolutely possible for her temp to be that low still.

I could argue that sounds incorrect. But I most definitely am not an expert for core temps.

seanconneryseyebrow · 12/08/2026 16:34

What expert was that? How did I miss that? Admittedly Ive been working from home (and doing a shite job), whilst watching this live. So I could have missed it. Thats really interesting though. What I heard was the paramedics and docs all saying her core temp at the scene was shockingly low and it didn't make sense.

seanconneryseyebrow · 12/08/2026 16:35

Why wouldn't the core temp at the house be accurate though? Genuine question. I mean a temp is a temp right?

allthingsinmoderation · 12/08/2026 16:39

Rowen32 · 12/08/2026 13:15

If she didnt do it though why is she not saying that? I don't get why everyone thinks she's innocent. Surely if she was she'd be saying what really happened etc?

She seems very mentally unwell, perhaps thats a factor?
Is there any other evidence that she killed the children other than her husband said she did so she thinks in her mental state that she must have?

seanconneryseyebrow · 12/08/2026 16:42

I think thats it @allthingsinmoderation . All other evidence points to her NOT doing it as far as I can see.

Perhaps the weather? The equipment they had. The actual event. I imagine it was only checked to ensure they began warming her up and to give a loose record to the doctors when she arrived at hospital.

NowIsTheWinterOfOurDiscontent · 12/08/2026 16:43

OhBotherSaidPoo · 12/08/2026 15:06

She has no memory of killing the kids.
She was told she killed the kids firstly by her husband and then by the police.
False memories are real and very powerful, especially when taking as many medications affecting the brain and memory as she was.
It's very possible she confession because she genuinely believe she had, and its only now, with the inconsistencies in timeline, fingerprints, knots, fall, blood splatter, medication, husbands testimonies, emails, that she's starting to realise she didn't do it, or at least not in the way he (the husband) said she did.

I doubt big Kev would let have her accept responsibility in an open courtroom if there was doubt. Legally, who physically killed the kids is no longer in question in this trial. It's not open for the jury to say "not guilty". They can only say "guilty" or "not guilty by reason of insanity".

placemats · 12/08/2026 16:44

A core body temperature can be taken via the ear canal. It's usually the rectum, but I doubt very much that happened at the site.

placemats · 12/08/2026 16:47

I don't doubt her plea at all. Just aghast at the decision to prosecute for murder on three accounts.

allthingsinmoderation · 12/08/2026 16:50

NowIsTheWinterOfOurDiscontent · 12/08/2026 15:00

Just to be clear - she has LITERALLY admitted being physically (not legally) responsible for killing the kids. She agreed to a "specification of facts" in an open courtroom, when questioned by the judge, with her lawyer sitting right next to her. That said that SHE killed them by asphyxiation.

So even if PC did do it, it's too late, she has waived her right to blame him in this murder trial.

The only question is whether she is

  1. criminally guilty (as she understood what she was doing and that it was wrong); OR
  2. she is not guilty by reason of insanity ie she didn't know what she was doing or she didn't understand that it was wrong.

"Premeditation" is a red herring. You can plan to do something but still be insane.

PS wtf with the prosecutor wearing these effing bows in her hair "to remember Cora, who liked bows".

I get that the purpose of this trial is wether she is guilty beyond all reasonable doubt that she murdered the children or was not responsible due to mental illness. Will LC take the stand and be asked directly wether/why she killed the children?
But, is there any other evidence other than a clearly mentally unwell woman saying she did it ? If the trial were to establish if she killed the children i dont think i could convict her based on a confession whilst mentally unwell alone.
Regardless ,those poor children were murdered and that is beyond tragic.

Is that 100 per cent? Im not sure of that. I think Big Kev can put doubt into the jury's minds and they can say 'not guilty' as a verdict. I could be wrong.

seanconneryseyebrow · 12/08/2026 17:07

So there could be a hung jury. This could lead to a mistrial. The DA's office then have to decide what to do next. Prosecutors could drop the charges, negotiate a plea deal or seek to put Lindsay on trial again before a new jury.

If the case raises enough doubt - which it is outside the courtroom - then that could very well happen and she could very well walk free.

No. The 10 minutes is not true. He called
them as soon as he found her.

She didn’t speak. He never said she spoke. It was only after at the hospital that she communicated to staff she had killed the children. Or a man’s voice had told her to do it.

That's when he went off to look for them and was recorded on bodycam as shouting "she's fucking killed the kids"

From the BBC:
"Clancy said after emergency services arrived and his wife told him his children were in the basement, he sprinted there next."

@OhBotherSaidPoo thats what i heard him say in the trial. Are you watching the actual trial @Sometimeswinning ? because he said that she told him they were in the basement. And then the docs said she couldn't have doen that with her injuries.

No he said that he couldn't immediately because of Wifi was down. It took 10 mins. That is what HE said.

Okay great. So how then was her core body temperature so low? To whit, loss of core body temperature quickly only happens in icey water or in air temperatures experienced at polar regions. So extreme cold temperatures.

It usually takes up to two hours for this to happen in cold sub zero/zero temperatures.

She may well have taken the time to have a cold shower fully clothed but then we're getting into the unlikely realm of time travel.

OhBotherSaidPoo · 12/08/2026 17:46

seanconneryseyebrow · 12/08/2026 17:42

No he said that he couldn't immediately because of Wifi was down. It took 10 mins. That is what HE said.

And then there's this email business, sent while he was apparently out of the house.
He now doesn't remember he sent it using the home computer or not.

Seems a pretty basic thing to remember. Either he was out the house or not.

seanconneryseyebrow · 12/08/2026 17:46

Thats the weird thing. Apparently she would have had to be submerged in snow for over an hour to have a core temp of that low. So the timeline is all off.

seanconneryseyebrow · 12/08/2026 17:50

I just think he did it. Told her and everyone on the scene she did it. And they all just accepted that. And then she told staff later she did and a 'mans voice' told her she did. Yeh - HIS!

And all this hasn't been questioned, its just been accepted. Even by her. She has zero memory of it!

I also think Big Kev knows she didn't do it.

I may be projecting here - but I had a psychotic break. My disgusting ex could have convinced me of anything at that time. I mean he convinced me (indirectly) to try to top myself and that I was an awful, horrible mother and daughter and person. I just think there is more to this.
