The more I read the more I wonder if someone else was involved or it wasn't her?

NowIsTheWinterOfOurDiscontent · 11/08/2026 21:32

If he did it, why didn't he make sure she was dead before he called 911? Or did he bank on her dying later? Or did he WANT her to live but paralysed?

I'm no fan of Patrick Clancy and think he bears a lot of responsibility but I don't think he was physically responsible.

BUT MY REAL QUESTION: did he choke on his words when he said "in sickness and in health" when he married his new wife?

Lindsay has pleaded guilty by insanity. Prosecution says premeditated which is why there's a trial I'm presuming.

Lindsay Clancy has pleaded not guilty to murder charges.

Thank you for the clarification.

She probably tried to escape.

OK but why did he phone 911 instead of finishing the job?

Also - it's VERY easy to tell if knife wounds are self-inflicted or not. Self-inflicted ones are usually quite tentative at first and in a particular direction/pattern.

I still think a lot about Shanan Watts. She so clearly loved her children. And she would have been a star on TikTok I reckon.

I’m still very much on the fence, and very glad I’m not part of the jury that has to deliberate this case.

But maybe he knew he couldn’t wait any longer to call 911? He already delayed calling by a number of minutes because ‘the WiFi wasn’t working’ (again, that’s not a thing) and knew delaying it any further would have damaged a carefully calculated plan. Maybe he thought she was dead? Maybe he thought she would eventually die, and she could not possibly be able to survive a fall like that, or prolonged period in the cold.

ApplePieCinamon · 11/08/2026 21:50

I’m so hooked on this trial. I really feel this poor woman is innocent. Every single person testified that she was a great mother. She became a nurse because she loved helping people. She may have been very unwell but something doesn’t sit right

Well that’s the other thing, Lindsay was right handed, and the wounds she sustained started on the right I.e. the cut to her neck started on the right hand side, which is, by the accounts of experienced professionals, not very common….

I despise him so profoundly. What spineless self-serving shit walks out on his wife, who has given up her job to take care of their disabled child, leaving her unable to fund living in her own home? He should be in prison for abandonment. His guilt should haunt him for life.

Are you referring to the link above about Matilda, Tilly?

If so, then I agree and it's indeed despicable.

placemats · 11/08/2026 22:05

Going back to Patrick. What chills me is when he went down to the basement and shouted very loudly that she's fucking killed the kids. Or words to that effect.

seanconneryseyebrow · 12/08/2026 07:49

No he said, 'shes killed the fucking kids'. what a weird way to say it. Not 'my babies, my babies'. That would be more normal.

I dont think she did it. I had an abusive ex, and Ive had a psychotic break. He could have convinced me of anything at that point, and I certainly felt driven to suicide.

placemats · 12/08/2026 08:22

Thanks for the clarification @seanconneryseyebrow , it's quite a chilling remark. I'm very sorry to hear of your experience of this and hope you are in a much better place now 💐

AhHereNow · 12/08/2026 09:28

I’m not sure we can really infer anything from the remark that he made. Nobody really knows how they would react, or what they would say, if they were faced with their 3 dead children and paralysed partner.

PolkaDotPorridge · 12/08/2026 10:49

I would bet a years salary that she didn’t do it

INeedaDietcoke · 12/08/2026 11:02

I'm following this too, and absolutely horrified by how catastrophically Lindsay and her babies were let down by the system. It's horrifying that postpartum psychosis can happen to anyone, and without proper care can lead to such devastating outcomes.

Patrick Clancy is not covering himself in glory throughout this. I don't know whether he physically killed the kids and tried to kill her, but in my mind he is guilty as sin for their deaths for being a fucking useless husband who's negligence and selfishness let this happen.

courageiscontagious · 12/08/2026 11:12

She wouldn’t be going to trial in my country. Poor woman, let down so many times by so many.

I don’t know if he did it but that husband is sketchy. At the least he was a negligent husband and father.

I bet if she lived in the UK her children would still be alive & she'd be getting the right treatment.
The US may mock our NHS but our patient care is miles better simply because we don't have insurers interfering with treatment plans, medication & which doctors you can see.

It's absolutely a no go to withdraw anti depressants just like that, it's a tapered withdrawal.

I really think from what I've read (no TikTok) that the medical professionals supplying her care/treatment are ones to ultimately blame as they caused Lindsay to get so ill, that in her state killing herself & the children was the right thing to do.
99.9% of mothers in their right mind wouldn't kill their children & I think Lindsay is in that majority.
She also accepts what she's done & her ex husband supports her.

I’m not so sure, look at Valdo Calocane and what a fuck up that was.

She didn't give up her job? A large part of her anxiety was about going back to work? They also didn't have a disabled child....

The incredibly low body temperature of Lindsay Clancy is highly suspect - 10 degrees lower than normal temperature. Especially within a 55 minute timeline. Murder the children separately in the basement, self harm, then jump out the window. Why was her body temperature so low within minutes of falling in a albeit very cold day with snow on the ground?

Ya, it’s one that definitely raises questions.

And looking at the timeline, he said he left the house at 5.15pm and returned at about 6pm. He eventually made the call to 911 at 6.09pm, having gone into the house, looked for his family, saw no one, then found his wife in the snow and struggled to call 911 for several minutes because the ‘WiFi wasn’t working’. So we can assume that he arrived back home at about 6pm.

However, there was an email sent from his device, from his home, at 5.24pm.

So the maximum time period he was out of the house for is roughly 45min, and the minimum is 35mins.

they also spoke on the phone at 5.34pm and he said that was a normal call.

So the very maximum time she could have been in the snow is 25mins, if she had literally jumped out the window right after that call.

Even with spinal injuries, medical experts are saying that this simply isn’t possible.

AND even if she had been in the snow for 25mins, medical team were able to revive her son and keep the poor little thing alive for 3 days. They would not have been able to do that if he had been dead for more than 25mins.

AhHereNow · 12/08/2026 12:35

Also, re:the call at 5.34pm… it’s been stated in court that because the house, the CVS and the takeaway were all in such close proximity, they would have pinged off the same mast, so that call could have been 2 phones calling each other in the same location. As in, it’s feasible that he had her phone with him when he left the house

Glad someone else thinks she innocent! I’m following the whole thing. It’s becoming very clear that he’s guilty!
I love Reddington!

A tad libellous
