When was the last time you did a shot and how old are you?

Me: 27, last month at my birthday party (tequila)
DH: 27 last month at my birthday party (jagerbomb, because he’s gross)
My dad: 72, last week at the pub with my nephew (who is 24) to celebrate DN getting some kind of gas safety certificate. He did a sambuca because he loves aniseed (🤢).
Step mum: doesn’t remember but “probably haven’t done on in 20 years”
My mum: 65, doesn’t do shots because “they’re gross”
DN: 18, did shots ON WEDNESDAY (!!!) but she is a student so I guess that’s acceptable.

I’m genuinely just curious. If you used to do shots back in your day but are now retired, tell me what your go to was.

Last time was at my daughter's birthday night out a couple of weeks ago when I had a kraken coffee shot. I quite like a shot but I don't drink enough of anything to get drunk. I just like the taste.

I like the idea of everyone dressing as what they want to be at 5. I wanted to be, specifically, a farmer's wife. Women's lib was not a big thing in my house and, when my teacher told me I could I be a farmer and not a farmer's wife, I thought she was stupid because I wasn't a man and women didn't have jobs... 😁

When I was about 22. I’m 46 now.

Aged 61 at a wedding last year. My adult sons insisted I join them in a tequila shot at the bar.

Before that, it was a few years ago at our house. Young adult sons and their mates were pre-drinking before a night out and got me to join in with vodka shots.

I normally only drink wine or beer. As you can tell, my boys are a very bad influence.

60 about 10 years ago when my brother married - his wife is Russian we had lots of vodka shots.

Tequila rose, baby Guinness and sambucca 12th July. Im 40.

66 yrs old. Two years ago.

Montenegro. Plum brandy.

I’m 50, I last had a shot nearly 20 years ago.

edited to add my 85 year old mum also had one!

I was just watching a show the other night, I forget which, and there was a woman celebrating her birthday, meant to be probably 60 ish (tons of surgery/filler and really thin so did look younger) and they were all excitedly doing shots.

I just thought, when was the last time I did that? Would I want to do it at 60? Do I know anyone that age who does shots?

I think the last time I did I was about 33. Tequila.

I ended up accidentally punching my female mate in the lip and drawing blood play fighting and my male mate vomited on the table?! 😬😵‍💫

I had to put them both to bed on unsuitable couches at about 8pm. They were both about 10 yrs older than me. Luckily we were all ok the next day. Fun times?!

So yeah, don't think I'll be doing that again soon! 😂

2012 sambuca it was horrible. Haven't really drunk any alcohol since I just don't like the taste.

Aged 52. Baby Guinness a few weeks ago because why not 😂

The one and only time was with tequila, well over 30 years ago at a friend's party.

Never again. Even now, I feel ill just thinking about it.😂
