When was the last time you did a shot and how old are you?

Bonus points if you tell me what shot it was:

Me: 27, last month at my birthday party (tequila)
DH: 27 last month at my birthday party (jagerbomb, because he’s gross)
My dad: 72, last week at the pub with my nephew (who is 24) to celebrate DN getting some kind of gas safety certificate. He did a sambuca because he loves aniseed (🤢).
Step mum: doesn’t remember but “probably haven’t done on in 20 years”
My mum: 65, doesn’t do shots because “they’re gross”
DN: 18, did shots ON WEDNESDAY (!!!) but she is a student so I guess that’s acceptable.

I’m genuinely just curious. If you used to do shots back in your day but are now retired, tell me what your go to was.

Maybe around 2019, I would have been given a jäger bomb on a work night out. I would have been 46 then. I haven’t drunk alcohol for 5 years now, however.

Last month! I’m in my early 40s. Definitely not a regular occurrence as can’t remember the last time before that. It was a night out that involved very nostalgic music so I think we all regressed. We all had a lot of fun!

Friday. I never do them even when I was younger, But I ticked the special occasion box when I booked a special cocktail experience at a fancy bar with my friend and they brought us a free shot. No idea what it was but it beautiful flavours.

41, never had one.

It’s not really a regular occurrence for me these days, but I was pregnant on my 25th so we kind of did my “25th birthday bonanza” I had planned two years late. It was really fun and everyone had to come dressed as what they wanted to be when they were 5.

I hate ouzo but the waiter brought some out after we’d finished dinner and I quickly necked it to be polite 🤢

1978. I am now 65 and rarely drink at all.

I’m 60. Three years ago I went to a salsa night for my birthday. A live band and great atmosphere. I did salsa lessons for 3 years, it was great. My DS GF bought me a shot so seemed rude not to drink it. I have never been a big drinker. No idea what it was.

Late 40’s and probably not since I was at uni!
