I don't want to let the gas man in. I have already cancelled twice. Every year I get warning letters.. I don't want to let anyone in. I don't want have any form of interaction. I don't want anyone physically in my house. I don't even know when they are coming. I just know its an afternoon appointment.

I already suggested adhd/autism 😔

That’s fine because it was in the appointment request so it’s given them an idea. Just don’t go in saying that’s all you want to explore. You need to be open minded

It’s ok. Dont overthink or stress.

Like others have suggested, just write everything down that you struggle with and give examples. Tell the GP how this affects your life. And they’ll take it from there.

That's brilliant OP. And don't worry about your age either. I wasn't diagnosed autistic until I was 45 and plenty of people are diagnosed far older.

I think for me what gets confusing is when I'm asked how long etc. In my head i feel like i need to say a date or x amount of years. Which i can't do. So then I reflect on things a bit then say always. Because that's what it feels like But theres probably been better times and worse times.

Also I didn't say I absolutely can't do anything. But I find very hard. And if I can push it back I will even if it makes no sense. If I can avoid it altogether I will. I don't don't go for smear test because I find it to hard. I haven't seen my gp in years I was really ill once it scared the hell out of me it still upsets me now when I reflect back.

My children were home births Which meant I didn't have to be round lots of people. I would take my children to parks and things but I wouldn't talk to anyone. I could do school runs. But that doesn’t mean I was ok with it. I have to bury it. I remember in my teeage years I didn't speak for long periods of time. I remember doing weird things like moving myself away from everyone in the classroom so I could be alone and didn't have to talk.

I think its possiblely peaked over the past year.

I have answered best i can. I probably can't give a clear solid answer because I don't know myself.

Hi, I think what you have written in your post here, is all information that would be relevant when speaking to the doctor. You could even write it down, and hand it to them at appointment, if that makes things easier.
It outlines that you’ve always had difficulties, but how it’s worsened eg the example of getting really ill, but still notgoing to the GP. Poor you, I can’t imagine how stressful that must have been.
That gives them a framework of how limited things have been for you, and your GP will know how to continue from there.
