Following on from the mum thread who is the best fictional dad. I’m going for Atticus Finch from Mocking bird, and Bill Smugs from Enid Blyton Adventure Series.

He did make an awful lot of things, although he did get annoyed with them at times, had a bit of a tantrum and destroyed them again - but then my Dad was a bit like that if things didn't go well in his shed.

Not so sure about Pa Ingalls. Seen through Laura's eyes he was a fun caring dad, but I don't know how Ma tolerated the constant being on the move.
