It'll be a low turnout.

Farage will win.

Count Binface will be second.

My prediction.

TemperanceWest · Yesterday 08:35

Morning all! Looking forward to.the election results. Farage will win I expect but even so there is lots of scope for him to be humiliated 😁.

I saw a clip of him being asked the price of fish and chips in Clacton. He said £7.50. Actually £14.95. He knows Clacton so well!

I can't disagree with any of this.
Suspect your crystal ball is functioning accurately.

Same, although being a bit of a Pollyanna along with Blossom I think (apologies if it’s not you Blossom) a tiny part of me is still hopeful than Count Binface will win.

placemats · Yesterday 08:51

All of me wants Count Binface to win.

However no matter how many times I shuffle the cards, examine the cloud shapes and track the flight path of the butterflies, it still comes up trumps for Farage.

Sighs into empty tea cup leaves.

PickAChew · Yesterday 08:58

The result going either way would be enjoyable in its own right.

TemperanceWest · Yesterday 09:00

Farage will have to stand on stage looking like the dickhead he is whilst the returning officer reads out 34 results. It will seem like an eternity for him.

He will do a whiny speech which would make Father Ted blush.
I am looking forward to him having to answer questions afterwards.

Yes! He will probably chunter on about beating the establishment and how he is the most persecuted politician etc.

It’s me - relentlessly optimistic! I’m sure Farage will win today, I really hope Binface gets a significant share of the vote, though.

I hope the people in alphabetical order around Farage have really stupid names! I’d love the Count to win but think it will be Farage.

TheABC · Yesterday 10:41

Farage is the most likely winner, but given there are 33 other candidates, a local could slip in, instead. Clacton has a lot of problems and they deserves an MP who will address them.

FWIW, if Jonathan Harvey did win, I think he would do a better job than Farage has to date.

Hello - sorry not been around. I have been on holiday. Looking forward to election results tomorrow. I might even stay up.

I’m looking forward to the election results tomorrow. I will enjoy it if Binface wins! And even if Farage is elected, it will be a hollow victory for him, especially if he doesn’t have a high percentage of the votes.

Same. It’s mathematically possible CB can win but it seems unlikely.

TemperanceWest · Yesterday 11:23

The BBC says the result is not expected until between 05:00 and 07:00 because of the number of candidates.

placemats · Yesterday 11:40

I've been to those counts before where there's been a huge amount of candidates. It goes on and on and on.

BIossomtoes · Yesterday 11:43

I don’t understand why. Surely it’s not going to take long to count the votes that aren’t for Farage or Binface.

OP posts:

The different wards for voting.

BIossomtoes · Yesterday 12:07

I still don’t understand. If the number of non Farage/Binface votes is miniscule it’s not going to take long to count them however they’re counted. Am I missing something really obvious here? It wouldn’t be the first time.

OP posts:
placemats · Yesterday 12:09

So all postal votes will be opened, already the outer envelope is opened to assess validity and safely stored. After the poll closes, so 10pm, they'll be the first to be counted.

placemats · Yesterday 12:10

I suspect also there'll be a lot of votes spoiled.

BIossomtoes · Yesterday 12:12

Thank you @placemats. I agree, lots of spoilt papers.
