As you've tried antihistamines, could you be allergic to them?
Antihistamines make me itch even worse than the original itch!

Well I'm at that age for premi so that's possible but doctors thinks its my iron levels dropping again as I'm bruising easily too. I have come off most of my meds recently due to trying for a baby doctors recommended coming off them. I have tried antihistamines they only last a few hours

Just realised, I knew a girl a few years ago who bruised easily and she turned out to have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS). 😕
Hope you get some answers soon xx

I honestly havent got a clue, I have since found out it wasnt the first time he cheated.

I am sorry to hear that. It’s hard to trust again after going through that.

That doesn't sound too pleasant, I'm hoping its just a case of low iron again

I’m always up any time between 4-5. I fought against it for years but embrace it now. It’s me time before anyone else wakes up. Sometimes I sit and read but mostly I go to the gym.

Time well spent by the sounds of things

Blood test done. Should get the results by tuesday. The nurse said they are pretty much testing everything. So hopefully find out the course of the itching soon. Luckily I don't have work tomorrow so if I cant sleep again then its not a big deal as can try and sleep a little later

I’m pleased so you’ve found someone you can trust.

I was awake again at silky oclock. Getting fed up of this now!

I hope they find the source of your itching. It’s making me think whether I should have another try at solving my itchiness.

Its definitely worth trying to find out what's causing it. Might be an easy fix

Morning-I’m up because my 12 year old DD wants to go on an early morning walk to catch the early morning birdsong. We do this fairly regularly! We’ll drive 20 minutes to a lovely forest near a lake, just making my flask now

OttersOnAPlane · 02/08/2026 05:09

I'm up because I'm in too much pain to sleep. I've been awake since two. A long-standing medical problem is having quite the flare up.

That sounds lovely! I hope you hear some and you have the merlin app on your phone to identify them all!

Awake pretty much all night. Some health things going on that aren’t looking too good

Nofeckingway · 02/08/2026 05:35

As I age it is a regular thing to wake so early. Problem is then I am tired all day no energy and often fall asleep watching TV . Or have to lie down for a nap . I can't even get up and do something useful as don't want to wake the house.

Dogshitter · 02/08/2026 05:35

Hey OP, sorry to hear you’re itchy. Just wondering, do you have a history of this? Or other inflammatory related issues (i.e. arthritis, IBS, allergies)? My OH has struggles with eczema for years and has found anything anti inflammatory helps. This can be anything from dietary to the kind of clothes/fibres you have next to your skin. If it’s as straightforward as iron levels then hopefully an easy fix.

I’m up cos I played a gig (I’m a singer/band leader) in Lincoln and then drove back to Portsmouth. Really need to wind down but I had so much caffeine to keep me away driving that I’m hopelessly wired now!

CheerfulYank · 02/08/2026 05:39

It’s only 11:40 pm here, and I’m at work. I do overnights at a care home so I’ll be headed out around 6:30 am.

That must be hard. I also work in care but do days. I just have to take my client out into the community
