My son has been offered social housing.i can help him with sone things. But not larger items.

I'm hoping i can find a charity of some sort that sells 2nd hand furniture. As we could probably get most things he needs under one roof and its likely they will deliver.

Just to ad British heart foundation and simlar are to expensive. We can't use free cycle . Facebook anything that requires collection . We do not drive or have access to a car. So it makes sense to use a charity

So bit of a long shot but does anyone know of charity's that sell 2nd hand furniture in the southeast london area..

Thanks 😊

Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but depending on who his energy supplier is he may be able to get some free brand new white goods. I helped a relative apply last year for a fridge freezer and a washer dryer. It was a really quick process and delivered by Hotpoint within a week of applying. It was Eon next, not sure if other suppliers do it and you do have to provide some evidence of receiving certain benefits I believe.

The E.ON Next Energy Fund. Supporting our customers.

Get help paying your electricity and gas bills through grants or a replacement appliance such as a cooker, fridge or washing machine.

When my brother went back to uni and moved in with ex sister in law. Ex SIL was having to pay for everything they were pretty skint. So they asked our mum for some basics like pans cutlery etc bedding etc. Anything we had more than one of they took. But we never had a spare chopping board so they took a table coaster we had for years instead. Our mum as a single parent didn't have much. But SIL parents are quite well off but wouldn't help them out. If they stayed with her parents they had to go shopping to get their own food in. Even after nephew came along. I always thought that was odd.
