Have you ever won anything?

Just that - have you ever won anything? I don't mean things where you're guaranteed to win so you keep spending. And I don't mean achievement awards or similar at work. I mean like prize drawer type of things.

I won £100 in the school raffle when I was 11.
I got a few £10s in the little blue packets in Walkers crisps when they did them.
I win something every month on the premium bonds.

But apart from that, I don't think I've ever won anything. I dabble on competition websites but never won anything from there.

I always wonder who does actually win on these things!

Never! My dad consoles me with the thought that that just means that when I DO win . . . Im going to win big. Darling man!

Yes ive won a bunch. I enter online raffles, ive won smaller things like consoles, toys that were really popular and hard to get (like a furby the year they were all sold out). In the last couple years its been mostly cash, biggest wins being £15k, £12k and £5k with a few £1k wins. I get patches of having good luck and then months where I win nothing but I do raffles instead of lottery seeing as I would win nothing on the lottery, better to have a chance at a decent win rather than teeny odds and winning nothing.

I won a 50cc bike from CD:UK when I was around 18. Ant and Dec never read my name out the following week like they did every other competition winner and I’m still bitter with them for that one. 😇😁🤣

Used to go to the bingo a bit and about two weeks after I joined I won £998 on a link up game.

Lots of little prizes, money and otherwise over the years. I’m quite good at winning booze in raffles LOL.

I won Clarks vouchers on mumsnet when I had very little money (was with my abusive ex). I wasn't spending any money on myself at the time so it was such a godsend.

I've won on the Octopus wheel spin twice. Yes, £1 each time

I once won first prize for my tomatoes at the local agricultural show.

Several raffles, including a 3-foot tall toy gorilla. Gave it away to another raffle and won the thing back again.😂

I won Christmas once.

I won a turkey in a raffle at the school Christmas fair then the following day I won a hamper containing all sorts of Christmas goodies at the church Christmas fair - Christmas cake, Christmas pudding etc.

Some travellers cheques in a work quiz years ago just before a holiday. A trip on the Orient Express in a work raffle. And tickets to see Man U play C Palace on a radio quiz in Jan 1995. That was the match when Cantona kicked the fan.

I win on the premium bonds most months. Won a signed photo of the blue peter dog (signed by the presenters, not the dog) and some sort of rugby ball thing on ropes that whizzed backwards and forwards when you separated the ropes. DH has won £10,000 twice, once on a newspaper bingo competition, and once on the premium bonds. Both before he met me.

I won £500 in a work raffle once. I also won a day cookery class, dinner and an overnight stay at a very fancy hotel in Oxfordshire.

Yes! The key to winning is to enter lots and lots and lots of draws. I won a laptop, Bose noise cancelling headphones and a few quid here and there. My
dad entered far more than me and won absolutely loads of stuff including a holiday to Florida and another to Paris.

For most of my life I've not entered competitions, though now I enter those in our bi-monthly local magazine. I've won £100 Amazon vouchers through Insect Lore, free utterly hatching kit from the same people and a posh watch from our local mag (which I then sold on Ebay).

I won a bottle of 18 year old Dalwhinney whisky in a raffle when I was 15. Some 25 years ago. I still can't stand whisky 😂

In 2011 I won the ITV competition. It was during the X Factor, I think i had to guess the missing line. I won 10k and a luxury holiday to judges houses location so I had the choice of LA, Miami, Mykonos and Barcelona in a top of the range villa and helicopter flight x

Theatre tickets, holidays to Majorca and Austria, two nights in a luxury cottage, a trip to London with concert tickets - I have been very lucky so far!

I won £500 on a scratch card in 1996. I’ve only bought maybe 10 max scratch cards since as I think I’ve had my luck on those! Won £100 on lottery about a year ago but not really life changing 😂
