I only wanted to join the parents association at dds secondary school to make some friends.

Turns out, if I wanted, I could make some REALLY good friends.

I’ve helped out loads for events this school year, been invited on nights out, it’s turned into recently being invited over with dh to houses of about 6 families who are close friends.

We were invited to an adult only get together this weekend, which as it turns out, is a sex festival, as Alan Partridge would call it.

I mean, I’m an adult; there’s no awkwardness, I said thanks but that’s not really our thing and everyone was cool, we still in the gang, just not the inner circle of shaggers, but hey, just my luck to have been friendless for years only to find sex people.

Thought this would give someone a laugh on my behalf.

To be honest, even if I was into it, I think I’d steer clear of school parents.

I mean, I know you have very little to do with other parents at secondary, but it has the potential to go utterly and disastrously tits up when it’s a group of people with kids at the same school.

Could you even imagine if some children found it out?

I think these things are best kept out of school parent friendships, personally.

Sorry but I’d be reporting this to the school.
This sort of thing shouldn’t be linked to the school PTA & people will talk

Ha ha. Do tell what you think ‘ the school’ would do about it… my daughters headmaster commented on how fit I was and said he wished he had a bottle of wine in his office…

You think 'the school' can stop people fucking each other in hot tubs just because they both happen to have kids in the same class? Are you mad?

People can shag whoever they want in whatever circumstances they want, regardless of whether they're on a PTA. What do you think the school will do? Put them in detention and make them write lines?

Report them to the school ?!?!
These people are all consenting adults not pupils so I don't know what you think they school is going to do.

Some of the school staff may well be involved if my experience of academia is anything to go by. People will talk sounds like something my late maiden aunt used to say 😂

I didn't think the thread was actually going to be about this...as people use click baity titles all the time that is nothing to do with the actual post....but you certainly didn't disappoint 😂. I agree though, it'd be quite awkward if any kids of the parents involved found out and if that got going around the school....it could make for a difficult few years for them all.

Coincidentally and imo rather hilariously, have a look at the advert I just got on Mumsnet after I went back to general chat 🤣🤣🤣:

It's not a coincidence. IT'S READING YOUR THOUGHTS

Cracks me up when people think “the school” has some sort of supreme power over adults ! What are they going to do? Tell them off and give them a Saturday detention?!

I mean, I have no problem with other people doing what they enjoy.

But the thought of wandering around while 50 year old Dave drinks a pint in his boxers with his hairy beer belly on show….thats how I imagine some of those clubs!

No offence meant to anyone - I’m sure not all the clubs are like that, it’s just how I envisage it!

Been to a couple of swingers clubs and found them very depressing, hairy beer bellies were the norm and lonely creepy guys chasing you, the whole scene killed my libido. I ended up chatting with the young sexy french waiter and flirting a little bit, that was the sexiest part of the evening 🤣 I'm with Lynn on this one.
