I think that Boris should stand as a candidate against Farage. I'd like to see them go head to head.

I don't think it will happen, but when you run through names of people who could beat him, that one is definitely there.

Is there any evidence that his daughter has been targeted? Or is it like these “personal attacks” that are conveniently never reported to the police?

Hmm, the man who wet his knickers both times he got milkshaked and demanded criminal damage charges, as well as assault, because he didn't want his suits dry cleaned.

Aye, right!

He did trigger a bi-election to run himself. He bribed Josh Simons with a plumb job to stand down - paying with public money!

Well Josh is apparently getting a job when Burnham is in place. Why would he stand down unless there was a promise he would get his reward later?

ilovesooty · Today 16:21

Well, I generally have no time for Kemi Badenoch but I think her response is spot on.

Chenecinquantecinq · Today 16:21

Nice to see some democracy at play glad he has done this good on him.

Well, MEP’s raked it in financially. So yes, he would like that. A lot.
He liked the media which in itself gave him better earnings than his MP salary.
He enjoys being the stirrer, the agitator. That brings him into the spotlight. Not just nationally but internationally. Which he has I am sure found to be very lucrative indeed. But you have to keep yourself in the spotlight.

But MP or PM. No. If he ever found himself PM he would enjoy turning over the financial rules we live by. He has already said he would amend the FCA. The organisation that guarantees the first £85,000 of money for people in accounts.

I loathe Reform but tbf the FCA is awful. If you look in to their actions over the Collateral P2P platform they've been as useful as a chocolate teapot and there are ongoing actions against them in this regard still dragging on after a decade.

Sky News says a writ could be moved against Farage as early as tomorrow.

Look up an account on X called @london_w4 he has posted how police sought him out in a pub claiming he stated the rough vicinity in which a Green Party Councillor lived. He did not name the location in any way yet the police were sent to warn him. Now compare this to Farage's daughter actually having people turn up at her address. Can people not see the problem? We live in dark times.

BrandiedAromatics · Today 16:28

@ClarkeandNewman I completely agree with everything you say about Farage.

I really need to call out the unwillingness to call out the Makerfield by election for what it is. This has been in the works for a while and has been masterminded by some MPs who have lost ministerial, or aide, positions for their own misdemeanours and so have been engaging in consolidating support for Burnham. They stand to do well out of his coronation.

The man who gave up his Makerfield seat for Burnham, Simons is said to have been helping Team Burnham on policy, .....
He has been on a rapid political rollercoaster: he worked for and then fell out with Jeremy Corbyn; ran a pro-Starmer think tank; became an MP and quickly a minister, from which he had to resign over accusations about his conduct at the think tank. (BBC)

He did get chased out of a pub by the breastfeeding brigade once....

Yes it is.......... unbelievabley so. He has videod the police interaction you can watch it on his page they admit no crime was committed but they actually sought him out in a local pub not even his own home to warn him and the police admit he did not in any way name the location specifically. He was merely stating that the Green Party Coucillor had a vested interest in removing the riverside seating at the pub as he lived nearby.

Bloozie · Today 16:35

The other parties definitely shouldn't stand. It's a grubby cynical stunt. 'Taking on the establishment'. Mate. It doesn't get more establishment than being funded by crypto and criminals. You're not the victim here. This isn't a witch hunt. You actually did the dodgy thing. It's called 'consequences'.

He's already wasting taxpayers money triggering the stupid fucking by-election. Let's no one else waste time and oxygen on his stunt. Crack on, dude. You shout into that the void.

He's such a self-serving cunt.

Quite. I had assumed it was the normal seat in the Lords reward that Labour give out. Josh is probably disappointed to have been downgrade to simply one of the jobs for the boys.

Jenrick is losing it on Sky News now.

"Nigel has served the constituents of Clacton loyally for two years" 🤣

😂 Good grief it's a wonder he isn't struck down for lying. I reckon Jenrick wants to lead Reform, in fact i think he'd lead any party at all given the chance.

Why? Boris would have no chance, he only got the support he did because he took the right stance on Brexit, Farage is the architect, Boris was an apprentice who covered the shop for a few days.

Hmm. There's no Police report, not even in his head. I don't believe a word of it, he'd definitely have reported it, were it true.

I think that Boris should stand as a candidate against Farage. I'd like to see them go head to head.

I don't want Boris back in frontline politics though. However, he could beat Farage. There are plenty of Tory party members who thought poor old Boris was terribly hard done by.

Most politically aware politician out there though, AB and KB are like extras from Harry Potter in comparison.

It wouldn"t be Tory party members voting though.
