What random things do people think are niche about you?

The paper that I read, probably

I have no tattoos

I prefer to read a physical book with pages over an e-reader

My DD's tell me my dress style is niche.

And I don't think they mean it in a good way

I don't like cling film

Things my work colleagues think are niche (although they call me posh instead...)

I have set myself a target of seeing evey Shakespeare play live before my next significant birthday

I read 60+ books a year

Being an amateur archaeologist

I'm a spinner (turn fibre into yarn) and a lacemaker.
I go to the gym everyday and take about 15 classes a week.
We have a narrowboat that we use for holiday.
Other than that I think I'm totally normal. My friends and family don't agree.

I like Moleskine books to write in and prefer to use an ink pen.

I don’t fly in planes and I have no desire to holiday abroad.
(I have done lots of foreign travel/flights in the past).

I get this one too. People seem genuinely baffled that I holiday in this country because I LIKE it and I don't feel that I am missing out by not spending a week on a 40C beach in Greece.

For me they’d probably say the fact that I paint with oil pastels, I’m a member of the WI and under 40, and I prefer being pale to tanned (for myself not necessarily others).

I agree! So much beauty, history and variety. And pretty much stress free.

That I never dreamt of a big wedding - lots of people couldn't understand it.

I actually declined getting married if I was going to get pressured into a big event.

That I'm smiley, happy and bubbly (most of the time!).

It freaks some people out.

I’m the same, my parents wanted me to have a big wedding we snuck off to the wedding registry and got married with strangers as witnesses.

My sport rowing. Everyone thinks im a weirdo for early starts at weekends for training.

I only write with fountain pens (and I write a lot for my job).

It's far nicer to write in ink - easier to read too!

I'm noticing that people are writing less though - I was in a meeting yesterday; 11 people. Only 3 had a physical notebook/paper and pen. The others either didn't note anything or were using a tablet or phone.

My kids used to think I was eccentric but now they think I’m a visionary tastemaker. 😎

I have no desire to own a pet of any description.

My friends who came to stay with me last week seemed to think that shopping at Waitrose and only having organic/free range milk and cheese was niche as they commented on it every 5 minutes.

Im vegan, ace, cant drive and have a pet snake.
All feels pretty normal to me but is probably statistically 'weird'.🤔
