Has anyone met siblings who looked identical despite not being twins?

Has anyone ever met siblings who look identical despite not being twins? Today I went to a colleague's house to drop something off and met her two DDs aged 13 and nearly 17. If she hadn't told me otherwise I would have sworn blind they were identical twins, even with the age gap, to me they looked completely identical except for hairstyle and clothes. It wasn't just me as she told me they're constantly getting mistaken for twins. It was really bizarre! I didn't even know that was possible. Obviously siblings often look alike but I've never come across it to that extent.

I have the opposite, I have b/g twins who look nothing alike, hardly look related, but they have a girl cousin the same age and my boy and the cousin look much more like twins.

I know two brothers aged 5 and 7 and have known them both since birth. I still can’t tell them apart easily and often get the wrong name. You think it would be easier at this age as the younger one will still have some baby like features like milk teeth etc.

The Belief Hole podcast is 3 brothers. They are a set of twins and another brother. They look like identical triplets.

My friend and her sister can open each others iPhones with facial recognition they look so alike. My friend is 8 years older as well.

Yes myself and two siblings we have been asked if we were triplets many times. The fact I am the eldest by 6 years compared to the youngest never ceases to delight me while simultaneously irritate the youngest sister 😆

Yes, I know three sisters. Two of them are twins. One is a couple of years younger. One of the twins and the younger sister look identical. The other twin looks like she’s not even related!

My db has non identical twin boys and 2 other dc.
My dd is the same age and looks very like one of the twin boys, more so than any of the 3 siblings.
It's just genetics.

So if one of them got banned from a shop they'd both be banned.

It has to be said in my family that the genes from my great gran are so strong that the dads hardly get a look in. So lots of cousins get mistaken for siblings or twins.

We had two sets of identical twins in our school who were brothers. All four looked identical, even though there was a couple of years between both sets of twins.

Yesterday. Two little brothers. Clearly one older by about 18 months, due to height and behaviour. But they were copy pastes of each other.

I have twin girls. My two younger boys, who have a 3 year age gap, look more alike than the girls do.

DT1 and my younger daughter are also very very very alike. They have a 10 year age gap so who is who is obvious, but when you look at photos of them at the same age you’d assume they were rhe twins.

Funnily enough I once knew done non identical twins, there was nothing similar about them. However, one looks just about identical to his older brother growing up.

My sil has 3 sisters and they are interchangeable if you didn't know them personally, they are all close in age and look and sound the same,

I've known cousins of the same age who looked so alike they were often mistaken for twins.

I've never met any siblings who look like identical twins. Some who look more alike than others but none I could possibly mix up if I knew them well.

I have friends who are identical twins, I can tell them apart in real life but not always in photos.

Automatic face tagging sometimes mixes me and my siblings up, no human would do the same.

Siri thinks that my 2 Girls are the same person. I used to have a double pram for them and people did think they were twins despite one being significantly smaller than the other. I got all sorts of rude comments.

That's even more surprising with cousins!
