Amazon delivery’s no longer knocking on my door - just dump it on the step and leave

Is anyone having issues with Amazon deliveries where they now just plink the parcel on your front door step- don’t even knock- then bugger off?

it’s now happening every time (so say my last 30 deliveries) and it’s really pissing me off.
could it be the drivers in my area only or is this a nationwide thing?

I know they’ll be under pressure to get their deliveries done but dumping and running is so frustrating.
it’s only a matter of time until one of my parcels is stolen.

Who is ordering so much from Amazon? I order a couple of times a year if that. What are you all buying? Genuinely interested.

Yes but it’s not a problem, why do you need them to knock? They haven’t got time!

Because parcels left in full view of the street can get stolen. They should be handed to the resident. At least if they knock someone can get the parcel quickly. When no one is at home it’s a big problem

We have stuff delivered every week, sometimes several times a week, have done for years.

Evri aren’t any better, came home yesterday to see a parcel on my doorstep, it would’ve gone through my letterbox. I’d had the email with the photo to show it had been left but it could’ve been tucked away behind my large plant pot.
I think we’ll get a box to leave by the step so parcels should go in there.

It’s often cheaper than driving 18 miles to the nearest town, paying for parking perhaps in multiple locations, DH having to go to KFC or similar. And it generally comes next day. What’s not to love?

Exactly and I can buy in bulk, subscribe and save to get cheaper prices, I work full time and don’t have the time or inclination to spend my days off traipsing around looking for stuff. Banking, groceries, clothes shopping, birthday cards, garden plants etc, I do as much as I can online. I detest walking around shops.
