She was my favourite too! Hence my username, The Good Life is my comfort blanket when life gets too much, it will be sad watching it now knowing only Barbara lives on, a sad day.

apart from the above mentioned she was also great in Sweet Sixteen and also Next of Kin. If you have not seen them its worth seeing them.

Very sad news , Margot and Jerry were the real stars of The Good Life , without them it would have been very dull .

She had a fabulous figure and could have been a catwalk model 😍
The Good life repeats on U&Gold periodically and I never tire of watching it.
One of my favourite episodes was when they were tipsy and flirted with each other's partners 😆

Adored the Good life as a teenager.Esp Margo ,she was so elegant and chic.I aspired to be just like her(difficult as 5 ft 0 and not exactly super slim!) Felicity Kendal the only one left now.Chats in heaven with Gerry and Tom !

I'm so sad to hear this news, she was absolutely terrific. Margot was my favourite character from a sitcom, just so unique and so funny. It felt like she was someone who might go on forever.

It was only last night I was either trying to remember or dreaming I was trying to remember the name of her character in To The Manor Born. I knew her friend Marjory, Brabinger the Butler, Mr de Vere and Mrs Poo but couldn't remember her name in it.

DollyMylove I loved the one where Barbara was gifted a "posh frock" by Tom. They all go out to dinner ,and Margo says to Tom that she feels an unselfish act, to sell his Dinner jacket in order to pay for the dress.He turns up in his anorak and she says to Gerry "put him behind a pillar or something!" priceless !

The world seems a little darker now. What a truly talented actor and sounds like she was wonderful to her fellow humans as well. A real national treasure and a very sad loss. They don’t make ‘em like that any more

I saw her in Blythe Spirit at the Savoy years ago and she stole the show, such an amazing actress.
