What is your favourite season order?

Absolute favourite is Autumn. It's cooler, the cozy dark nights are all coming back to us. Crunchy leaves, candles, all the beautiful colours, excited little children running around trick or treating, crispy mornings, cold fresh air, hot chocolate, bubble baths, big coats, pretty fireworks and sparklers.

Winter. Most of the above but all white and wellies!

Spring. A bit of warmth finally returns and we can enjoy early morning walks again. The little ducklings on the canal. Bank Holidays. That's about it.

Summer. Shit. Hay fever, stifling heat, fluffy lank hair and looking like a sweaty miserable RAT.

This is part of my problem with summer, I don't like dressing for summer. I'm a jeans and jumpers person.

Same, I don't enjoy exposing my flesh but covering up in this heatwave is no good either so I stay at home as much as possible with as little on as possible, no one wants to see my corned beef legs lol!

Roll on comfort clothing days.

I never understand the love for Autumn when it is the season that everyone starts getting major colds again. Virus city at school and nursery and uni. And offices.

I don’t know anywhere like that. You must live in a virus prone area!

Summer, Spring, Autumn, Winter. Absolutely detest winter, especially December.

Summer - love the light nights, holidays and warm/hot weather

December/Christmas - deserves to be a season of its own

Autumn - falling leaves, cosy evenings, fireworks

Spring - the end of winter and the promise of summer

January/February - cold, wet, miserable and feel like they go on for an eternity

I think January and February seem depressing to a lot of people because people make too much of a thing about Christmas and then all the decorations and lights come down which makes everything seem darker.

I would prefer not to see them anywhere in the first place as I think it would cause less of a contrast.

If I could cut out December and have two Januarys i would have winter as my favourite.

I must admit I've had to learn how to keep Christmas in perspective so I'm more cheerful in January and February. I've found reminding myself that it beats a heatwave has helped a lot though.

Autumn, Winter, Summer, Spring.

Autumn is my favourite for all the reasons OP listed. The other 3 seasons all have their benefits too ❤️ I love aspects of every season. Currently covered in mosquito bites on holiday. Not a highlight of Summer 🙈

Amiacoolorwarmcolour · 27/06/2026 19:20

Summer, Spring, Autumn, Winter.
As a child I liked Winter best.
As a teen I hated Summer. Always wore a top over my hips and wore jeans, no matter how hot it was.
I felt fat and hated the way grown men leered at me. I wasn’t fat at all but that’s what growing up in the 80s did for you.

Autumn, Spring,Summer,Winter.
I much prefer Winter clothes but hate the dark mornings and find I get quite panicky in the dark evenings ( menopausal anxiety over nothing in particular)
Autumn is my favourite until the clocks change, then Spring as I love the sense of new hope that the daffodils and Easter seem to bring. I feel like Easter should be New Year not the 1st January which to me symbolises 2 miserable months ahead.

Spring
Summer
Autumn
Winter

Hate Autumn and winter. Colds/flu, sick bugs, dark nights, cold, wet, dreary weather. Don't get the hype around cosy season. I have raynauds so suffer greatly in winter😔 Around September time I start to feel sad that summer is over.

Spring is my favourite as I love seeing nature come back to life. Beautiful spring flowers. Those first warm days when you can leave the house without a coat. Evenings drawing out.

Love summer too. Beach days, picnics, going to the park, fairs, ice creams down at the beach! Lots of playing in the garden. Visiting gardens and beautiful flowers.

Autumn, summer, winter, spring. I don’t know why, but I’ve never particularly liked spring.
