Absolute favourite is Autumn. It's cooler, the cozy dark nights are all coming back to us. Crunchy leaves, candles, all the beautiful colours, excited little children running around trick or treating, crispy mornings, cold fresh air, hot chocolate, bubble baths, big coats, pretty fireworks and sparklers.

Winter. Most of the above but all white and wellies!

Spring. A bit of warmth finally returns and we can enjoy early morning walks again. The little ducklings on the canal. Bank Holidays. That's about it.

Summer. Shit. Hay fever, stifling heat, fluffy lank hair and looking like a sweaty miserable RAT.

Spring, Autumn, Winter, Summer

I do love the light nights in summer but 35 degrees is too hot for me.

susiedaisy1912 · 27/06/2026 05:46

Spring summer autumn winter. But not too hot in the summer

I am quite similar, but think summer has the slight edge. As it's also my birthday 😉

Funnily enough I'm summer born too 😎

I never understand the love for Autumn when it is the season that everyone starts getting major colds again. Virus city at school and nursery and uni. And offices.

Winter, summer, spring, autumn

I find it very difficult to pick between winter and summer. I love both extremes.

Spring is nice from a gardening perspective so that’s next, and finally autumn.

I have always loved Spring with everything coming back to life again. Then Autumn, Summer, Winter ( although it’s mine & DD’s birthdays in December & I love Christmas 🎄)

SequinnedMac · 27/06/2026 07:29

Spring first. Summer and autumn are a tie. Early summer and autumn if being specific! Winter last. I don’t hate it, it’s just I really dislike the dark mornings. Winters are mostly grey and damp in the UK. Redeeming features of winter are my son’s birthday and Christmas.

I like the cooler but not too cold weather, autumn walks in nature are lovely with the changing colours, it’s cool enough to make stews/soups which I love and it makes me want to bake which I don’t do in summer or Spring, I love Halloween, start looking forward to Xmas, most of our birthdays are in Autumn, we decorate the house in an autumn theme, after a busy summer of being out late a lot socialising outdoors, we tend to have nights in at home which feels nice. 🍂

I don't like the extremes of summer heatwaves and winter icey weather.

Summer, Spring, Winter, Autumn. I have arthritis and the autumn weather sometimes has me housebound with pain.

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 27/06/2026 08:25

Spring, summer, autumn, winter! Nice and chronological. I like winter for about a day but the dark afternoons depress me and the short days aren’t conducive to socialising (I need my social battery topped up regularly). I would prefer to migrate for the winter like a goose and perhaps be back for a few days of snow. But we don’t really get snow properly around here anymore.

PosiePerkinPootleFlump · 27/06/2026 10:54

Summer, autumn, spring, winter

Though the only thing I don’t like about Autumn is that it signals that winter is coming, I love it in itself. I hate winter - especially the January-February bit

CateyeKate · 27/06/2026 10:59

Autumn for me without a doubt. Give me a chunky knit and jeans over summer clothes and a cosy heated throw over a one tog duvet.

I also one of those weird people who love the rain, it makes me happy.

I also enjoy winter up to Christmas but would happily hibernate Jan and Feb, wake up in March for birthday month, enjoy springtime and early summer and then would prefer to travel to somewhere cool in July and August.

I have not enjoyed these recent heatwaves at all and am looking forward to September onwards eagerly.

So it would have to be Autumn, Spring, Winter and Summer last.

This is part of my problem with summer, I don't like dressing for summer. I'm a jeans and jumpers person.

Jasmin71 · 27/06/2026 12:08

I only like spring

LondonLass2026 · 27/06/2026 12:13

Spring - lighter mornings and evenings, everything starts blooming, daffodils come out, etc. Just seems really promising.
Autumn - orange leaves, not yet freezing, looks really beautiful where I live with all the woodland and forests.
Summer and Winter joint last. Both a bit shit.
