You've just unwrapped a delicious (and much, much smaller than they used to be!) Mint Cornetto from a multipack.

You are left with this wrapper.

What do you do next?

I bought DP some Cornettos for Father’s Day. On offer at Asda!

EmailsaysOOO · 21/06/2026 15:19

I suppose you could frame it as a memento of the amazing day you asked the lovely mumsnetters about it? Sorry for being cheeky

Blimms · 21/06/2026 15:20

Bin it. Personally I find the licking of wrappers pretty grim.

6ate9 · 21/06/2026 15:20

Sell it as art!!!

Taztoy · 21/06/2026 15:22

See note re: reduced size of Cornetto. Quashed any potential for awarding of “amazing day” status, sadly.

Bin it.

People licking wrappers makes me gag. I am aware that is very much a ‘me’ problem.

EmailsaysOOO · 21/06/2026 16:00

@StunHun darn it ! When life gives us small cornettos.... make a Cornetto frappé?.

It’s not a you problem. Licking wrappers is really poor manners. The only people I see doing it are children, which is fine. Adults doing it is grim.

FeliciaFancybottom · 21/06/2026 16:29

Take a picture of it and post it on MN?

Im 58 and lick wrappers.

Why waste any, it is already vastly reduced in size?

Because it’s not nice for other people to hear and see. Nobody who does it ever does it quietly.

Would you do it in a cafe or restaurant if the food you received was in a wrapper?

What sort of restaurants do you go to where your food is in a wrapper?

DidYeAye16 · 21/06/2026 17:08

Put it in the bin.

JustGiveMeReason · 21/06/2026 17:17

Why, @StunHun ? What do you do with it ?

Oh don't be so utterly ridiculous.

Grim my arse.

Which mine is. But that's beside the point.

Solve the reduced size drama by eating 2?

All depends on the context though, doesn’t it? In a café sitting down very different from sitting on a park bench or at home

There are many many things that we would do at home that we wouldn’t do in public

Context always matters
