Bohemian Rhapsody 🤢

The stupid Bandaid song. Besides the fact it’s horrifically offensive in so many ways, I met Bob Geldof when he spoke for an organisation I was involved with. He is truly awful. I’ve never met anyone so genuinely offensive. The way we spoke about the population of people we worked with was really just so bad. I don’t know who booked him, but they could have just dragged anyone in off the street and they would have had nicer, more intelligent things to say.

TheChosenTwo · 19/06/2026 19:08

Anything by Texas or Bryan Adams, groove is in the heart, actually most disco stuff (just sounds so jarring to my ears) but as I mostly just listen to stuff on Spotify I rarely encounter music that I need to actively switch off.
Im sure there’s loads more though!

TrayBakesAreSweet · 19/06/2026 19:09

Anything by Taylor Swift. I had to be told it was her a couple of times, after I switched over, as I only know a handful of her songs (and don’t like any of them.)

Every Thing I Own. The Boy George version.

my friend took a telephone call from the hospital advising her that her partner had hours to live. This song was on the radio at the time.

nearly 40 years later and I still cannot hear it without crying.

He's also an insufferable prick who thinks he's a national treasure.

Never found anyone else who feels like me about it! My family think it’s blasphemous not to like it 🤣

ToadRage · 19/06/2026 19:12

I personally don't turn off much but i am very good at tuning stuff out. If i have the radio on while i am working or concentrating on something I couldn't tell you what songs had been played. My husband wil always turn off anything by Pearl Jam.
