A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour* *government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Snap! Freddo signed the 'Starmer must stay' letter last month and last week switched allegiance to Burnham. He also voted to continue the puberty blocker trial on kids. Utter twat that he is.

Labour went in strong voting for those trials, so bad. Kemi and conservatives against.

Parsley4321 · 24/06/2026 22:50

@justasking111 I don’t mind Boris at least he’s bright and you can understand what he says JRM however is another kettle of fish where is he he must be returning soon

Parsley4321 · 24/06/2026 22:51

Even lord Ali has forsaken bollard probably looking for a person to give new clothes to and glasses oh and a penthouse holiday

Good line about Keir having 400 knives in his back.

A line the speaker rebuked her for because, you know, 2 MPs have been stabbed to death in recent years. Jesus Christ - you lot are unbelievable what with this and the oh so funny 'bollard' what with this and the oh so funny 'bollard' moniker you endlessly use in homage to that wit and stellar PM Boris Johnson. As a Labour supporter it's been a difficult week but reading this has restored my faith in the left because, well, we're not like this!

You are like this. On the “Starmer” thread this afternoon a poster called Kemi something that required the post to be deleted by MNHQ (I think in fact she posted it twice and twice it had to be removed )

He was a dog shit PM though, regardless of how personable he is.

JRM is very much around and about. Not sure if he'd go back into politics though now.

She thought she was hilarious too, from my reading of it. No, love, just racist.

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 24/06/2026 22:56

What a load of absolute shit. Statements in PMQs about Starmer being ‘stabbed’, ‘stabbed in the back’ and so on has nothing to do with and no influence on real world violence. That’s so pathetic that I find it insulting to Jo Cox and David Amess.

Used against a party - the Tories - that have suffered the most of any major party from political violence and killing I do find this Labour attack fucking shameful.

ETA That’s an answer to stripycats.

I found Starmer worse but I am really glad he’s gone.

I think they were / are both bad, but differently bad. Johnson and his prorogation and purge of the One Nation Tories was appalling. But he at least had good / sensible people behind him.

Starmer is politically inept, surrounded by ideologues and not very bright people. Dire combination!

Parsley4321 · 24/06/2026 23:01

Kemi is bright and very funny
Starmer dull as ditch thick as mince like his cabinet

I’ve got another podcast recommendation this evening - Strong Message Here on BBC Sounds.

Usually presented by Armando Iannucci, but he’s off ill this week. It’s an amusing look at political language - and they've got a lot to work with this week!

But we were talking about that specific instance. You don't all need to keep swinging by with 'corrections', unless you'd like us to follow suit in the other direction?

Yes I was just about to say this. Poster was annoyed that Starmer was being called “bollard” and stated that “the left aren’t like that”. Poster was corrected.

stripycats · 25/06/2026 06:08

I only saw the other thread after the deletions so I can't comment on that but I have definitely seen names used for KB that people object to as racist that I don't think are racist. They don't really help the discourse but they're not racist. However, I didn't see the one yesterday so if it was actually racist it's good it's been deleted. The constant use of 'bollard' coined by a man who has achieved a fraction of what KS has and degraded the role of PM when he was in it, making us an international laughing stock, is very odd to read. When leaders around the world seem to have genuine respect and warmth for Starmer constantly quoting the charlatan Johnson to denigrate him is a choice.

@DenizenOfAisleOfShame Well, the speaker didn't agree with you and rebuked her. I know it's a common idiom but in the current climate it was a very poor choice of words indeed and from what I have seen she has been criticised across the spectrum for her crass and undignified attacks yesterday, including from the right. If that's your idea of bright and funny @Parsley4321 I don't know what to say. And I don't see why it matters that Tories have been attacked more than Labour - they've been in power more so have had more likelihood of being attacked by organisations like the IRA. Do you think any MPs during that time would have said something non-literal and clumsy about something unrelated like, 'That's put a bomb under the plans for the economy...' I doubt it, but if they had they would have been criticised. Violence against MPs of all colours is abhorrent and all should also be mindful of the language they use.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/06/2026 07:09

Yes, like Rayner and her 'scum' comment: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-54675232

Please don't come here and excuse racism against Kemi, @stripycats, that really isn't acceptable, and I don't much care what you think, to be honest, if that's your take.

This thread isn't politically aligned with you. Nothing you say will change our minds about Labour.

Keir has been utterly useless as PM. I don't really give a shit what international leaders think about him maybe he had one eye on his next job as he needs to perform on the domestic side to be a good PM. He hasn't, so he's just not good enough.

His own MPs have had enough, so why you think those of us who aren't Labour should think more highly of him than they do, I'm not sure.

Also, he's very wooden, so bollard is rather apt.

Angela Rayner

Conservative MPs 'faced abuse' over Angela Rayner's 'scum' remark

The party wants the Labour leader to apologise for Angela Rayner's "unparliamentary behaviour".

It’s pretty obvious this thread isn’t this on Starmer.

It’s a place for us to talk about how Labour isn’t going well very much due to him, it’s not really a debate.

Middlerage · 25/06/2026 07:28

There’s no active and current context of a bomb or knife attack on politicians though and it is a widely used idiom…we’ll have to agree to disagree on that one - whatever the media thinks, I’d put money on most people agreeing with Kemi away from the people overly focused on politics.

it is long overdue time we judged on results and not use of words - in reality they have been judged on results in the polls that’s why AB is being parachuted in.

MellowZebra · 25/06/2026 07:33

@stripycats I saw the posts in question before the deletions - the posts were deleted for the racism of putting a space between the d and e in Badenoch's name.

Re: Rayner- she apologised for the two "scum" remarks. Badenoch has very much declined to do so for her "gestapo"and "spiteful" insults. The sooner the Tory party sorts itself out and rids itself of her the better for everyone. It will turn on her at some point as she will eventually go too far and be in danger of becoming something of a liability, a little like Starmer.

This isn't the thread for you. Please cease from lecturing us on your politics.

As Eastern said, we're not up for a debate on your opinion of Kemi / the Tories. She's the most popular party leader in the polls, so she's clearly doing / saying something right and is certainly not the liability you want her to be.

ETA: Rayner should never have said it. An apology doesn't cut it. An MP should never use that language about other MPs. She's not suited to the office, frankly.

Nuthatch26 · 25/06/2026 07:48

Good morning 😁

Using Enoch Powell as a slur against a black woman = all fine.
Deform = all fine.
30p Lee, Dubai Dick, Fartage, Cruella, 🍊 = all fine.
Going after the wives and children of Boris and Rishi = all fine.
Lettuce = all fine.
(I could go on)

Bollard = highly offensive, how dare we.

They can't even see it can they! 😂

I very much doubt that Starmer is regarded warmly or with respect around the world. That’s wishful Labour thinking.

And Starmer hasn’t achieved anything, abroad or at home. Except perhaps some sort of record for the most sackings of colleagues, aides and civil servants per month of his brief time as PM.

I do wish the left could break out of its delusional state of mind about the ability and worth of its politicians. If they’re incompetent, unpleasant, venal, loathsomely ambitious and untrustworthy etc etc, just admit it. I have no problem seeing and acknowledging that in plenty of Tories and universally in the ranks of Reform.

I'm going now but I have to say I just cannot believe you think Rayner is beyond the pale for saying 'scum' and then apologising and KB is fine for likening a secretary of state to the Gestapo - the Gestapo - and making a point of bragging that she never apologises. And you all think she's clever and funny. If she is popular it's a shameful reflection on the public.
