Do you wear full makeup on a beach holiday.

We are in the canaries on holiday. I only use mascara and lipstick hoping my tan is enough.
This in my mind gives my skin a rest.
Last night we got talking to a group of people and all the ladies had full makeup on. (They looked lovely)
Am I the only one not to use full makeup.

I don’t use makeup at all so if I was in the Canaries, I wouldn’t be in full makeup either.

Personal choice isn't it? Hopefully everyone is using sunscreen which is the more pressing issue. Lots of people wear make up every day and wear it on holiday too - lots of people don't change their habits just because they are away from home. I wear minimal make up daily and it's the same on holiday really. But I do really ramp up the sunscreen and stay in the shade more often than not.

I never wear makeup on holiday.

I wear a bit every day for work so it's nice to have a break from the routine.

If on holiday I delight in it rarely crossing my mind to look in the mirror.

A bit different but we’ve just been away in the campervan and from leaving the house to returning I haven’t looked in a mirror. It’s very freeing.

On a beach holiday, I’d probably do like you, if going out for the evening but really don’t see the point in any of sitting by the beach / pool.

I’ve never put make-up on to go to the beach and I am from / live in a beach holiday location. I honestly think the tourists wearing any kind of make up look a bit silly - I mean on the beach itself, not going out for dinner or something like that.

Fake tan is fairly toxic so I would not be wearing that ever, no.

I take Eborian CC cream for coverage and use a Beauty of Joseon spf cream over it.

I'm in the canaries next week and can assure you that I'll have a full face of slap on every evening and half a face on if Im going out for the day.Naked face for room or beach days

Who cares what other people are wearing? If they jumped off a cliff would you follow them?

Often wear it in the evening if eating out, but never in the day.

I do in the evening as I like getting dressed up and I don’t have the best skin. No spots but old acne scars, bit of redness etc.
If we’re around the pool/beach i do the minimum (mascara mainly), if we’re in a city/town for the day then maybe a bit of concealer/brows/swipe of bronzer too but not a full base.
If I had beautiful skin then I probably wouldn’t wear base makeup at all.

Full war paint will go on when I go out for dinner tonight on my beach holiday. Only use a tinted SPF moisturiser in the day.

SPF and tinted spf lip balm during the day. I do wear make up at night though. Not loads but spf, Erborian Cc creme and a bit of eyeshadow and mascara, blusher and lipstick.

During the day no. Going out in the evenings yes but if it's very hot I wear less of it. I don't allow my face to catch the sun so it doesn't ever get tanned. I am 56 and feel better with make up on. When I was younger it didn't bother me to go out with nothing but a little bit of mascara and a tinted moisturiser. These days I need more help!

I wear make up in the evening, not foundation if I have a tan but eye make up I do

I don't wear any make up during the day, if we're going out usually some BB cream, mascara and tinted lip balm.

I’m blond with pale eyelashes so I wear waterproof mascara, spf and some tinted lip balm over a lip stain during the day.

In the evening I don’t do full makeup either - it’s too hot, but I’ll add some cream bronzer (a few dabs of concealer if I need it) proper lipstick and maybe a bit of smudged out soft brown eyeliner.

But each to their own and tbh I rarely wear a full face of makeup anyway.

I prefer tinted moisturisers to foundation and tend to stick to mascara, single colour crème eyeshadow that I can swipe on with a finger, concealer, crème blush and lip stain with a lip oil on top.

During the day, no. Just SPF, lip balm and a big pair of sunglasses.

Out for dinner I'll wear a bit of makeup but not a full face if it's hot. Usually a BB cream, blush, mascara and a tinted lip balm.

I don't wear much make-up anyway - tinted lip balm and mascara, but I also ramp up sunscreen when I am away.

Day...spf only. Evening normally just a little bronzer, mascara and lip tint. However I wanted something for more of an evening glow so just bought Dew La La from Benefit. I cant stand heavy make up whilst it's still hot in the evening but something to give a slight even out is nice.

I dont use it and dont own any.

I do but I have horrible blotchy oily skin and it looks awful without some sort of basic make up. Though in the day it's a mattifying SPF50 tinted moisturiser and a dab of powder on my nose. Plus Lip balm/oil.

I much prefer a bit of definition too but now have permanent eyeliner, powder brows and lip blush so that is sorted. I also get lash extensions done before holiday (dont wear them the rest of the time) so I don't need to bother with mascara.

I realise I sound very vain but I really don't feel right without any make up on. I think most people look great without it but sadly I'm not one of them 😂 The one time I went to work without any make up because I had overslept my boss told me "are you ok, you look AWFUL!"

If I’m going out at night I put my face on. It’s very minimal but I scare small children without it!! During the day? Never.

Never to go t0 the beach, that looks silly. But yes I will wear make up in the evening. But not heavy make up, more a little glowy foundation, some bronzer , blusher, mascara, lip tint.

What a silly response. Yes her curiousity on make up means she’d jump off a cliff if other women did.
