Do you feel sorry for Katie Price?

I know that she’s done some terrible things, but I can’t help but feel bad for Katie Price. Yes, I feel bad for her kids, pets, and family first and foremost, but sympathy is not a finite resource as I feel sad for her too.

In the noughties, she had the world at her feet. She made a success of herself out of no skills or qualifications. For a time, the public seemed to like her.

Seeing how far she’s fallen is tragic. With the right man or better friends, things could have turned out quite different I think?

Yes, I do have some sympathy for her. For her to have lost custody of her two youngest children in circumstances where their father cannot have custody either due to being charged with child sex abuse, there must be A LOT more going on behind the scenes than any of us know. Generally speaking, children are not removed from their mothers lightly.

I don’t believe she can have been such a seemingly good mum to Harvey when he was a child then suddenly have a personality transplant when it came to looking after her youngest.

Whatever else is going on, I’m absolutely convinced she has some quite severe mental health issues too.

BitLippie · 07/06/2026 16:01

I pity her, to be honest.

Her life is a car crash and she looks and behaves like someone who is quite unwell,

Getting your tits out and drumming up press interest in your latest boyfriend drama is tough at pushing 50.

There was a time when she was very wealthy and it’s a shame she didn’t invest her money wisely and retire from the reality & glamour schtick at the height of her fame. It has a shelf life and she didn’t and still doesn’t acknowledge that.

PetulaGordeno · 07/06/2026 16:02

Under a Sky ad for her new series Gail Porter wrote a comment.
At a celebrity party Katie introduced her new boyfriend to Gail and added, ‘She used to be quite pretty when she had hair. Google her!’
That was a vile thing to say. Gail in prime had a naturally beautiful face and figure and while the projected pic on Parliament wasn’t her own doing, it gave her the type of publicity that that KP had to work for. Still
love Gail - fabulous woman!
I feel sorry for Katie’s children - imagine having to deal with your mother behaving the way she does? Never knowing which crisis will hit next?
After the jungle where she met Peter it was all made for her and she was held up as a feminist icon for a short time.
I think the surgeries, drug addiction and awful men have taken their toll.
I can remember when she first came out and she was such a gorgeous girl.
God knows where she will be at 50 or 60.

RedRock41 · 07/06/2026 16:27

No. Car crash and it’s an embarrassment.

Newcarkey · 07/06/2026 16:38

@Dappy777 don't you think that's part of her problem though her shallow back ground and nothing else to do with her money except buy crap body stuff ?

No. No better friends, right man or whatever could change what she is. Putting the responsibility for her actions on the shoulders of other people is very unfair. She hasn’t just made one or two mistakes, or has a rough patch, her entire life has been dominated by crazy selfish decisions made for maximim publicity or to keep a man interested/jealous. She’s utterly toxic in every way and the only people I feel sorry for are her poor messed up children.

Dizzydrizzy · 07/06/2026 16:41

Anyone who knows about her two youngest children shouldn’t feel an ounce of sympathy towards that woman.

Heartbroken38 · 07/06/2026 16:44

I think life is really complicated. You can disagree and disapprove of how someone behaves but still have empathy for them and wonder how they got to that point.

Glittertwins · 07/06/2026 16:45

No sympathy whatsoever.
And she should be in prison for the drink and drug driving / driving whilst banned. Anyone less “famous” would have been locked up months ago.

Silverbirchleaf · 07/06/2026 16:45

No, because she doesn’t learn from her mistakes.

After her Jordan days, she seemed to grow up, become a businesswoman and I admired her then. Somehow, it’s all gone down hill since.

Agree. I think people can make even fairly big mistakes and still redeem themselves, but she never does.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 07/06/2026 15:09

I do. I dont defend her actions, she is a complete mess.

People arent half as vitriolic against Paul Gascoigne though 🤔

You can't really compare the 2. Gasgoine had a tragic start in life seeing his best friend killed, then became a national hero at an early age before descending into mental illness, domestic abuse and alcoholism. He is an undeniably tragic figure, even with utter disgust for his crimes. I saw some early footage of him playing recently, in a doc about Vinnie Jones and he was just so full of joy, talent, glory and life. I know his outcome has changed the way more vulnerable players are managed and supported today.

Slightyamusedandsilly · 07/06/2026 16:47

Yes. She's unhinged. She needs a mental health team supporting her. She's a poor man's Britney.

givemeareasonto · 07/06/2026 16:49

No. She exploits Harvey

SamAylward · 07/06/2026 16:52

No, not for an instant.

TFitsfriday · 07/06/2026 16:53

No, anyone who gets behind the wheel of a car whilst under the influence/banned is utter scum. She should be in prison.
I do feel sorry for her kids.

MrsKeats · 07/06/2026 16:55

No but I do feel sorry for her children.

Why arent the two comparable? 👀 Jordan achieved many things after a complicated start to life, shes done well before becoming what she is now

Error404FucksNotFound · 07/06/2026 16:56

I used to, but not any more.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 07/06/2026 16:58

x2boys · 07/06/2026 15:13

I havent tjought about paul Gasgoigne in years
He rareley gets mentioned these days that might be why?

Yeah maybe - although i have seen him on tv in the last few years bless him

Dunno, with Katie its just one of those things where shes trapped - her messy drama keeps people hooked and keeps her paid

I do feel for the kids though, especially the babies

I judge harshly he men who are happy to exploit this mentally ill woman for their own gain, only to ditch her and blame her for bringing them down 😡😡😡

Achieved many things- such as what?

silenceinthemind · 07/06/2026 17:01

They're not babies, theyre 8/9/10 ish now and permanently damaged by her actions and neglect. No sympathy from me. She had meny, many opportunities and lots of money to have a great life and she squandered them all for drugs, fame and ridiculous surgery. I do think she is damaged by childhood experiences, but so are lots of people and they dont treat kids and animals and random other road users like she does.

RaininSummer · 07/06/2026 17:02

No. She seems to be a horrible, selfish woman.

faithfultoGeorgeMichael · 07/06/2026 17:07

@Allseeingallknowing
Here's a summary of Paul Gascoigne's ("Gazza's") key achievements:
Early Career & Individual Honours
Gascoigne made his debut for Newcastle United in 1985, and by 1988 was voted PFA Young Player of the Year and was in the PFA Team of the Year. A British record fee of £2 million followed as Tottenham Hotspur signed him.
Club Honours
At Rangers, he helped the club win two Scottish Premier League titles, with his performances during the 1995–96 season particularly outstanding — including scoring a hat-trick in a must-win game against Aberdeen that secured the title. He also won the FA Cup (with Tottenham in 1991).
International Career
He was a key member of England's 1990 FIFA World Cup team that reached the semi-finals — the best run by an England team since they won the 1966 World Cup. He gained particular fame for notably crying after receiving a yellow card in the semi-final against West Germany, as the booking would have meant suspension had England reached the final.
He also helped England reach the semi-finals of Euro 96, scoring a memorable goal against Scotland, described in 2013 as "one of the most iconic goals in the game's recent history."
He earned a total of 57 England caps and scored 10 goals.
Legacy
Gascoigne is widely recognised as the most naturally talented English footballer of his, or possibly any, generation, dazzling crowds at Newcastle, Tottenham, Lazio and Rangers. He was inducted into the National Football Museum Hall of Fame in 2002.

You may not care about football, especially the National team but a lot of people do, and he was undisputably of of if not the player of his generation. Price's career and talents are not comparable. I am not defending a drunken domestic abusers behaviour, I am saying why he is, rightly or wrongly, treated differently, to a lot of people he remains a hero.

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 07/06/2026 17:08

I have the weirdest reaction to her.

Whenever I am thinking about her or reading about her I think she's the worst kind of publicity-seeking person trying to keep themselves 'relevant' and in the public eye. But whenever I see her being interviewed or talking somewhere I find myself thinking that she seems genuine, honest and someone who is just 'doing their best'.

I struggle to make sense of this dissonance. Maybe she just has a charisma that I react to - but then I am notorious for my lack of gut instinct.
