Do you feel sorry for Katie Price?

I know that she’s done some terrible things, but I can’t help but feel bad for Katie Price. Yes, I feel bad for her kids, pets, and family first and foremost, but sympathy is not a finite resource as I feel sad for her too.

In the noughties, she had the world at her feet. She made a success of herself out of no skills or qualifications. For a time, the public seemed to like her.

Seeing how far she’s fallen is tragic. With the right man or better friends, things could have turned out quite different I think?

I don’t know loads about her, but the fact she’s absolutely ruined her face and body does make me feel sorry for her, because no-one mentally strong would do that.

I bet Peter Andre, who seems to have a pretty perfect life now, is embarrassed he ever had a relationship with her. Their 2 kids are only normal (or seem to be) because of him and his lovely wife.

I pity her but I don’t feel sorry for her. She has had the opportunity to make different choices at every turn but has chosen not to. I think she started very young in a damaging industry and clearly has MH issues, but the effect on other people and her children is hard to forgive

Yes, I feel very sorry for her. She isn’t quite right,very obviously. Various body dysmorphias and personality disorders piling up by the look if it. It’s a shame.

I don’t get all the hype about her being gorgeous. She was quite pretty, but not beautiful. The only surgery that enhanced her was the nose job - she should have stopped there. Her teeth are like joke teeth, and they’ve been done so many times, it’s weakened them - it wouldn’t surprise me if she lost most of them. The surgery on her lips left them baggy and misshaped. It was her decision to have enormous boobs which made her look out of proportion. I don’t think it’s mental illness. I think she’s desperately trying to cling to her youth, and she’s chosen all these surgeries and tweakments. She must envy her beautiful daughter

I have read that the more plastic surgery you have on your face in particular the less you are able to relate to other people. This apparently is because your face cannot send signals to the brain because it doesn’t move as it normally would anymore. The brain stops registering emotions. When done too much.

Nope. Not in the slightest. All self inflicted at the detriment to the lives of her poor children. I don't really know what’s happening with her atm. I see the headlines but I won’t click on any stories about her because they generate income for her.

Possibly because of this thread and however algorithms work, she just popped up on TikTok. God, she looks desperate. Her knees are wider than her legs. She can’t be well, physically or mentally.

I feel sorry for her in the same way I feel sorry for anyone who’s not got their shit together. It’s a miserable place to be, as we see countless times on Mumsnet.

In my younger days, and after a terrible bereavement, I most definitely did not have my shit together, and cringe at my behaviour and thoughts. I needed compassion then though the old me would not have thought I deserved it.

No I don’t. When she first got together with Peter Andre I was made up for her as I thought finally someone sensible. But now no. I’m wondering if she has undiagnosed Autism, ADHD. Her life is a car crash. I think no chance of turning it around now.
