When I was growing up,we had a lady who lived around the corner who collected animals-ive never met such an animal lover in my life
When she died,she had 57 cats,6 dogs a handful of small animals like hamsters and gerbils and a small family of rats that lived under her shed
Anyway,I remember her having the most gorgeous black and white spaniel called Ben
He was lovely and could sing along (in tune) to the coronation street theme tune
He was terrified of the (then) emmerdale farm theme tune-he would run and hide,while shaking and crying until it was over
He wasn't that bad with the eastenders one but you could tell he wasnt keen
Once the corrie opening credits and music had stopped,he'd settle down to watch it
I've never met a dog who loved corrie and hated emmerdale like he did-i cried my eyes out when he passed
I've just found out that ds's dog (who we have for the week) is scared of crutches
I've pulled a nerve in my hip and am having to use them to get around outside (not too bad while in the house)
We didnt know until I stepped outside yesterday and instead of coming outside with us,(he had serious fomo-he follows ds around in fear he may miss out on something) he cowered under our table while crying
He's fine with them propped up against the wall,he has an issue with me using them,which will be fun when I take him out later on (I need to keep moving to ease it)
I might have to tank up on painkillers and risk it
