Just for fun so no sarcasm or nastiness please .
My friend and I went to see a West End musical this week . I was really looking forward to it . Great reviews . Celebrity cameos . Camp and fun . Seemed right up our street .
We both hated it . We were turning to each other with puzzled looks and raised eyebrows (we've known each other forever and have very similar tastes so no words needed) .
The audience seemed off their tits to be honest . Screeching at every unsubtle innuendo . Shouting responses to the actors . It was like a really bad hen do .
We left at the interval .
My point is that everyone else seemed to be having a great time . The staff who opened the doors to allow us to leave at the interval were incredulous . I quote : "Are you not enjoying it ?!"
Well no , we weren't . We thought it was shit .
This is a show that is up for lots of awards and has had so many positive reviews .

Camping, given it three tries and hated it every time
Town on a Saturday night, so loud, croweded and feels as if it could tip over into violence at any minute. We tend to meet up reasonably early and get home quite early too before it goes wild or go out in the week

alo brand leggings and socks and stuff, the colours are awful and they don’t look any better than stuff a tenth of the price. I love musicals including jukebox ones but I can’t stand Mamma Mia and I really disliked Hamilton when I watched the filmed version - maybe they’re better in real life but I don’t care to spend the ££££ to find out.

Any stage musicals. Cringey.

lol I was thinking this the other day. Camping is fine when it’s part of something - eg. A long distance hike, or even going somewhere new and having a place to stay. But loads of our friends drag their DCs camping every bloody weekend. We LIVE in the countryside. They are mostly dragging them a couple of miles down the road to have a worse nights sleep! We can still spend our entire weekend outside without it being performatively middle class 🤣
