Have you ever hated something that seems very popular with everyone else ?

Just for fun so no sarcasm or nastiness please .
My friend and I went to see a West End musical this week . I was really looking forward to it . Great reviews . Celebrity cameos . Camp and fun . Seemed right up our street .
We both hated it . We were turning to each other with puzzled looks and raised eyebrows (we've known each other forever and have very similar tastes so no words needed) .
The audience seemed off their tits to be honest . Screeching at every unsubtle innuendo . Shouting responses to the actors . It was like a really bad hen do .
We left at the interval .
My point is that everyone else seemed to be having a great time . The staff who opened the doors to allow us to leave at the interval were incredulous . I quote : "Are you not enjoying it ?!"
Well no , we weren't . We thought it was shit .
This is a show that is up for lots of awards and has had so many positive reviews .

Coldplay. I cannot bear Chris Martin’s smug supercilious voice. I have to contain my hatred when it comes on the radio at work, because my colleagues think I’m weird

You are my twin in anti-Coldplay taste. I had Spotify on yesterday while I was doing a bit of cleaning, just clicked on the "for you" tab out of curiosity, all went well at first and the tunes fitted well with my tastes then suddenly there it was, that whining voice "look at the stars , see how they shine for you", I lunged across the room to stop the horror, cursing and cringing at the same time

That Dr Foster drama that everyone was raving about a few years back. I thought it was so bad, it was hilarious.

You mustn’t have been the only ones then, when I’ve left the theatre at the interval I’m just going for a vape with all the other smokers, they’ve never assumed I’m not coming back!

Same!! I wanted one for ages and got an expensive two drawer one and I just…don’t get it?? What is it adding exactly?

Sushi also, though someone made me a sushi sandwich and it was very nice. Probably because it wasn't authentic sushi
The Woman in Black (stage show)was quite boring and not scary

Reality TV shows including Bake Off and Strictly
Soap operas
Chocolate brownies
Most kinds of fast food
Most comedy shows/comedy in general made after the early 2000's
Winter (the season)
Musicals
People running everywhere wearing headphones
People glued to their phones

Edited to add Spa days, hen weeks, ridiculously over the top and migraine inducing weddings, baby showers, gender reveals, social media.

To be honest I pretty much stopped loving a lot of things when the 90's ended.

Lidl/Aldi.

I’m with you there - had enough of them when we lived in Copenhagen to last a life time!! What depressing places with in my opinion the crappiest fruit and veg I’ve had in a long while- Luckily I found Meny - which whilst not Waitrose was more like say Sainsbury’s

ScruffMuffin · Today 17:46

Oh yes spa days... unspeakably boring!
Hen dos that cost £££ and take up whole weekends. I had a girly night in with some pizza and games!

I always maintained that Russell Brand was a grotesque nonce, which didn't land well in the 2000s.

He's always been creepy as hell but hopefully finally he'll be put away

It's utterly grotesque. And in bloody everything!

Abba Voyage - I enjoyed it but I just didn't absolutely love it like everyone else around me. At no point did I ever think it was really them up there. There was also an animated segment that (to me) didn't seem to fit.
That said, it was a lovely crowd - everyone full of joy!

Yep Strictly
Too much hype / popularity gives me the ick / puts me off most things and I’ll visit them after it’s all died down to judge for myself!

I have always hated the 50 shades series. I wasn't hooked. I also hate eggs and football.
