Just for fun so no sarcasm or nastiness please .
My friend and I went to see a West End musical this week . I was really looking forward to it . Great reviews . Celebrity cameos . Camp and fun . Seemed right up our street .
We both hated it . We were turning to each other with puzzled looks and raised eyebrows (we've known each other forever and have very similar tastes so no words needed) .
The audience seemed off their tits to be honest . Screeching at every unsubtle innuendo . Shouting responses to the actors . It was like a really bad hen do .
We left at the interval .
My point is that everyone else seemed to be having a great time . The staff who opened the doors to allow us to leave at the interval were incredulous . I quote : "Are you not enjoying it ?!"
Well no , we weren't . We thought it was shit .
This is a show that is up for lots of awards and has had so many positive reviews .

Drag acts, pantomimes and Traitors.

Kinky Boots is fab I saw it on tour, i mean if you don't like drag it won't be for you, i loved it though.

Friends. The tv show I didn’t like it in the 90’s and haven’t changed my mind

Musicals, drag queens, reality TV, Strictly, Masterchef, Mrs Browns Boys, Corrie.
Weird ice cream flavours, weird cake flavours, overpriced oversweet cocktails, weak expensive coffee, ffs. Sourdough bread. Matcha. Green juice. Barrel leg jeans.

God loads of things. Luckily I’m too old to have to do most of them.

Jukebox musicals are indeed enormously shite but I think they must be keeping a huge chunk of the theatres in this country going so what are you going to do. But I went to Grease about 23 years ago and was truly shocked at everyone around me singing along etc, the cheap and cheerful — painfully loud — amplification.

Festivals. I have been to three single days of different festivals and was genuinely intrigued at how incredibly boring they were, as well as being of course ridiculously uncomfortable and unpleasant. I do go to gigs but it’s a special occasion to see one of the few bands I like enough to spend that much on, and I don’t see why anyone wants to spend 4 x as much to see a random selection of bands they don’t care about.

Oh how I agree! I’m the same with Lewis Capaldi. I worked with a woman who used to play him in the office sometimes and i could quite happily have smashed her phone up. Obviously my problem, because nobody else seemed to bother.
