... and so over the next week or so, I'll be bringing you scenes of everything that's going on. Today there are several people jogging in the park. Preston is out for his morning run.

This is fantastic. I love how ethnically diverse their names are.
And well done to Jeoen and Pierre not letting their disability stop them being active.
Those doing the recycling could teach someone I know who thinks it’s “difficult” and so doesn’t bother. She’s quite proud of her choice not to even try.

Trumptontown · 23/05/2026 13:59

I hope Ash took Zeus out early before it got too warm… 😁

SoMuchToBits · 23/05/2026 14:08

Some good guesses already for scenes which might feature later in the week! Grin @Okiedokie123 yes, we are just getting a new recycling scheme where I live in Suffolk, which starts at the beginning of June. We have a new bin and food waste caddy. I'm very excited as quite a few new things are going to be collected (food waste, glass, soft plastics, bubble wrap, tetrapaks), but lots of people are complaining about the number of bins, or how complicated it's going to be (it isn't, and we've had very clear leaflets explaining it all)! Smile

thank you for the tag @SoMuchToBits - I always love a playmo thread. I'm hoping for a concert in the bandstand, some playmoers using an outdoor gym and some groundsmen doing the gardening....

SoMuchToBits · 23/05/2026 14:31

@Londonmummy66 I did consider doing a bandstand concert, but Playmobil have never made a bandstand, and despite considerable research I couldn't find anything I thought would work. Maybe I should write to them and ask them to do a bandstand! Grin

Thanks for the heads-up, @SoMuchToBits Great to see the PlayMoLand people back again. I love the horse dung clean up!

CrochetMadRosie · 23/05/2026 15:30

Oooh lovely! Thanks for the @
I thought we had a lot of playmobil, but do you actually have every set? It’s amazing!

petalpower · 23/05/2026 16:48

I hope Yasmin hasn’t been overdoing it on the wine!

HeadyLamarr · 23/05/2026 17:24

Wonderful to see all our friends enjoying their park.

RoofTopSingers · 23/05/2026 18:00

Brilliant as always, this brings me so much joy and always reminds me of my own children (now in their early twenties) and the imaginative play we engaged in.

Gutted they don't do a bandstand but loving the recycling centre in the park.

Thank you for tagging me @SoMuchToBits I appreciate it.

He's pleased to see that it's spotlessly clean!

😂😂😂love the clean loo and the newspaper

NooNakedJacuzziness · 23/05/2026 19:04

Hoo, just seen this - I love an unexpected Playmo thread! I was wondering if there was going to be a Playmo World Cup but you’d need a hell of a lot of figures for that I suppose Smile

Piemam · 23/05/2026 19:15

Thanks so much- what a sweetheart you are @SoMuchToBits .I know I'm in a club of many here who love and appreciate your efforts, with the requisite humour, care and attention. Hope you're doing well x

Talltreesbythelake · 23/05/2026 21:21

Thank you for the heads up, this is precious. So far I love the recycling the most and I am hoping for some trouble from those rough boys, cos they make me laugh with their rebellious ways!

Laska2Meryls · 23/05/2026 21:41

Fantastic !! Great to see a new playmo thread.. Im hoping that they will have a big community picnic and that the park has communal BBQs to use ( predicting some naughty canine or jellyhead sausage stealing if so ).

Laska2Meryls · 23/05/2026 22:10

Ooh , I wonder if the funfair is in town for the late May holiday? ..

SoMuchToBits · 23/05/2026 23:17

I've been out this evening at a concert, it's lovely to come back to all these comments!

@NooNakedJacuzziness not only would I need a lot of people for a World Cup, but also I know nothing whatsoever about football! Grin
@Londonmummy66 thanks, but I think I'd like to find something that's actual Playmo. Let's hope they make a bandstand soon!

@RoofTopSingers I also had great times with ds and imaginative play, he's also in his 20s now (can't believe it!).

@CrochetMadRosie I certainly don't have every set! They bring out quite a few new sets each year, so it would be impossible to keep up! Also, some sets are themes which I'm not particularly interested in. Although sometimes you don't always know what will be useful until you suddenly need it. That has happened with this project! Is this an advert?

RoofTopSingers · 24/05/2026 07:57

@SemiRetiredLoveGoddeess for the skill set of the OP? Well she is clearly a very creative woman. I think the first one I ever came across was the election one in 2010 and although I don't usually reveal my political affiliation I will always vote Norman The Foreman and The Tea Drinking Party. This is a party I can really get behind.

An advert for Playmobil? The sets my children had (now early twenties) were the castle with the knights, horses, dragons, which integrated well with people fleeing the battle on the Playmobil plane. In attendance for any injuries were the doctors and nurses in their ambulance and both a fire engine and police were in attendance.

We accumulated a few sets, nothing like the OP has but they were robust toys and Dh and I have very fond memories of playing imaginatively with our sons. Here is a wedding one from 2018

Absolutely fabulous! I’ve never seen these threads before but I love playmobile. Please add me to the tag list.

Your morning at the park was very entertaining and I’m impressed by your playmobile collection!

SoMuchToBits · 24/05/2026 08:15

@SemiRetiredLoveGoddeess no, not an advert at all! I don't expect Playmobil have any idea that I'm doing these scenes! I just got to love Playmobil when my ds was small and played with it, and it has kind of taken off from there.

@RoofTopSingers the 2010 election was the first one we did! It was very small scale then, just set up on the kitchen table, no background scenery or anything!

Anyway, in Eastgate Park today Roy Louise, Alfie and Scarlett are out on a nature walk.
