Where do you keep your handbag?

Not a life threatening issue I know, but it’s beginning to bug me!

On Pinterest people seem to keep theirs neatly hung up in their colour coordinated wardrobes, maybe on a special bag hook on the inside of the door. I keep mine by the side of a chair in the front room and sometimes it leans, sometimes it gapes open and I dont really want visitors seeing the inners of my bag!

where do you keep yours? I want it easy to grab when I’m heading out, but stored more neatly!

By the side of the sofa ~ easy access to all the bits and bobs I need, particularly diary/address book

On the hook in the cupboard under the stairs 😆 also know as the cupboard of doom as there's all kinds of random crap in it.. including shoes/ coats etcs

I wfh and my desk is in the kitchen. Invariably my bag is hanging over the back of my work chair or on the chair tucked under the desk if I’m not working.

Sorry, I know this isn't hat you asked but it's just reminded me . . .

My poor friend put her handbag down on the floor of the church and when we stood up for a hymn, it got knocked, toppled over and a Tampax rolled out and under the seat! My friend was so embarrassed when an elderly gentleman handed it back to her!

It hangs on a hook in the hall by the front door. I rarely need anything from it when I'm at home, I take my phone out and keep it in a pocket. It's always zipped up unless I'm taking something out of it, so nobody can see inside and things can't fall out.

Upstairs in my bedroom when at home - usually just in front of wardrobe . It always used to sit in hallway but many years ago we were burgled and they took my bag on the way out - have never left it downstairs since

On the back of a chair in the kitchen.

I hang mine on the newel post.

The coat cupboard in the hall or hall table. It rarely moves from either apart from when it leaves the house.

We have a chest by the front door for kids school bags and swim bags so I just pop it in there when I walk in the door.

Mine is usually wherever I am, either on a chair or down the side of one.

I have loads so mine are all upstairs in the bottom of my wardrobe. Why do people need them handy at home though - surely a handbag just has stuff in for when you’re out of the house?

On the sideboard in the dining room. Which is also the living room and the hallway.

We have a set of hooks in our hallway for bags (separate to the coat hooks) that we installed inside the top half of an Ikea bookcase and we use the shelves on the bottom half for baskets for sunglasses, hats, gloves etc

I hang mine up with my coats on the coat stand in the hall. I don’t need anything from it when I’m home, except my phone, which I take out as I’m hanging it on the hook. My keys get dropped in a bowl on a hall table. On my way out, I grab my bag and keys 🤷‍♀️

Currently on the handlebar of the (ahem, unused) exercise bike.
Often between bedside table and bed.
Previous house, dedicated shelf on hallway bookcase.

Do you know, I can’t even remember where I used to keep it in my old house? Been here a decade now, but even so!

Beginning to think I need a hook somewhere - but a wide one, that won’t squish the straps 🤔

Somewhere downstairs where I dumped it last time I came home.

This. A long way from either of the outside doors, especially at night. I learned that from someone at work who was burgled.

I change my bag all the time so have a basket with my favs in next to a container with all my handbag crap.

I have lots of lovely handbags in their dust jackets in a drawer under my bed but the bag I am currently using is hung on a handy hook 🪝 my husband put for me on the side of shelving in the kitchen so it would be easy to grab but out of the way.

In the bedroom by the side of the bed. It stays up there unless I’m going out somewhere.
