Very rare day off. I’m sitting in my garden, looking at the sea, listening to the radio, sipping a cocktail and also doing some word puzzles. There are birds in the bird bath, the sun is shining and this is so good for my soul! Absolute bliss!!

An early morning dog walk. Especially in this kind of heat when you have to get up properly early and go for a big tromp before it heats up.

Spending time at our caravan ( going on Wednesday just me and the dog as Dh is away with work and Dd is working whilst home from university ) I just love being by the sea

Like a PP, singing. I love it, such a joy, and it's really good for you, too.

I also love tidying and decluttering 😂😂

Reading. Nothing makes me happier than reading. Every spare minute I have it’s spent with my kindle. I didn’t get into reading until the past few years but I always remember my mum saying “you’ll never be bored if you’re a reader” and it’s very true!

This - Im so grateful Im a reader and feel like I have been since a 5 year old and discovered books.

Being close to nature. Today, we've had a swarm of bees, the first swifts (4 pairs) and tonight a bat flittered into the garden. I'm hoping for the call of a cuckoo tomorrow.

Planting seeds and harvesting vegetables.

I find such happiness in sitting in the garden watching and listening to the birds. We live semi rurally, with a nature reserve at the back of our houses, so get a wide variety of birds and other wIldlife. Was watching house martins flying around on my walk to the gym this morning. Absolutely calming to my soul.

the moment you go into the potting shed and see the first leaves of your germinated seeds

the stepping into DP's arms after an absence (whether after couple of hours apart or after just entering the same room)

when the parent blackbirds bring their fledglings to the garden and teach them to forage

listening to the birds' evensong

filling your eyes with green... (the garden, the allotment, the moors, the dales, the hills)

That's my idea of bliss OP, you're so lucky to have a Seaview from home, wonderful. So same for me, ideal is a walk along the beach which is only half an hour away, watch the kids and dog having fun. Xx

The sea, at night, the lapping of the waves, the sunset, The stars. The moon. Peace and quiet. Makes me realise that we are all very small cogs in a huge wheel. The peace is balm. Nature is healing and amazing. I live a stones throw from the sea. I’m blessed.

Sitting in the garden with a Diet Coke and a cheese toastie.
When I get in the swimming pool, hold my breath and disappear under the water for a few moments.
When DH and I snuggle under a blanket to watch a film in winter when it’s dark outside.

Another thing I forgot...

Starling murmurations.... We get them every year in the late winter where I live (rural/countryside/farms/canal/woodlands kind of area...) Most years we have 50,000 to 80,000 starlings.

Exhilarating. 😊

I live on a farm and seeing the baby lambs frolicking around the fields makes everything feel a bit better. They’re so full of beans! It’s wonderful to see.

They're bred to be killed before they turn a year old. 😞 It's hard to see them knowing what lies ahead in their very near future. Humans are dreadful.
