I met a mumsnetter in Spain... How did I recognise her? (Just for fun, but I did meet one of us in the wild and there was a recognising factor).

She said she'd gone no - contacto with her parents ?

Ooh was she panicking that she didn't have an ERF car seat for her 10-yr old's 5-minute taxi journey? (And I say that as an ERFer...)

Was she wearing a light cardigan or wrap for the evening whilst whizzing round with her Shark travel hoover?

She was getting her ducks in a row

Was she complaining about dogs everywhere ?
Asking strangers how old she looked ?
Writing her Xmas lunch menu ?
Complaining about cyclists ?

You heard her say ‘leave the bastard’ to her friend?!

It isn’t used anywhere apart from on MN and by dyslexic supermarket shoppers purchasing ham.

I got recognised as a mumsnetter on a train from Sheffield once and the other person started a thread about me. 😁

in my case I was reading mn on my phone which was a massive give away.

Same here. It still feels like most of Mumsnet thinks that Spain is one giant AI hotel where people go to lay by the pool getting pissed and shout at their DC for two weeks, only getting up to fight over chips at the buffet.
