Whenever I hear a married couple has separated I think ‘oh what a shame’, even when I don’t know them. It’s painful and difficult to go through a relationship breakdown. It’s a shame that something that began positively and produced children has ended. I don’t think that’s particularly strange or curiosity-provoking.

He cheated on her about twenty years ago, when their first child was really little. I'm sorry she didn't kick him into touch back then. He never deserved her, and I never liked him after that incident. God knows what she sees in him - she's a million times better-looking than he is. And she's wasted her life on him.

Not the point but when did it become normal just say someone is “punching”? I hate it! Didn’t it used to be common to say both that people were punching above their weight AND punching below their weight?
