I presume Tess stayed with him for the kids after the cheating allegations, now the kids are grown they are going their separate ways like many couples do.

An old friend of mine was having a 'special friendship' (her words, not mine) with Vernon 20yrs ago. Highly unlikely she was the only one.

There are some: I’m thinking of the Clintons or the Beckhams. Jay Z and Beyonce. Vernon Kay and Tess Daly are a B list celebrity couple with a bit of money but I wouldnt describe them as a power couple.

Ok I’ve just checked as I remember there being articles about her new baby when I was finding out I was pregnant with my DS, who’s now year 11. Tess & Vernon’s youngest is 16, about to turn 17 in year 12.

This feels an odd time for a couple who have “stayed together for the children” to split up, I’d expect that to happen next year, post A Levels/end of whatever key stage 5 course she’d done. Or last summer after GCSEs.

“staying together for the kids” couples usually last until their youngest leaves education.

I used to really like Richard Madeley till The Spice Girls were on This Morning and he was all over them like an old dog on heat. Put me right off can't stand him now because I see that in him.
With people like Chris Evans I. The 90s you expected that behaviour but he deemed himself to be different. I've never watched This Morning since!

I would put money on a story coming out in tomorrow’s papers about an infidelity or him having checked into the Priory to dry out.

I never understood why she stayed in the marriage after the sexting palaver. Maybe she’s held onto the resentment for years.

If the sexting was 16 years ago, then that's when their second child was a baby.
I thought there was a rumour that they were hooking up with women for both of them, and he took the flak to save her squeaky clean image. But at the time I was on maternity leave myself and spending lots of naptimes on Blind gossip sites so it may not be true!

I'm surprised the marriage lasted as long as it has. Vernon was caught sexting a page 3 model and arranging to meet her, several years ago (might have been 2013). I doubt very much this was the first time he's sexted other women, just the first time he was caught! Tess should have ditched him back then. What's the saying 'when a person shows you their true colours, believe them'!!

Is Richard M known as a sleaze? I’d never have thought that. He seems so staid.
