I’ve been watching the coverage of the US visit and honestly, I am exhausted just looking at them.
I would give anything to be a fly on the wall when they finally retreat to Blair House, kick off their shoes, and pour a very large G&T. Can you imagine the debrief after a day of Trump and his acolytes?
- You just know Charles is rolling his eyes over that shooting 'incident' at the dinner. "Honestly, Camilla, the way he carries on, you’d think he’d single-handedly fought off a battalion rather than... well, whatever that theatrical display was."
- Watching Charles, an actual environmentalist, having to nod politely while Trump explains 'tremendous' bees to him must have been a test of patience greater than the Coronation.
They look so professional in public, but there must be a point where they just look at each other and say, "WTAF". Or do they have to stay 'on' just in case the room is bugged with 'beautiful, golden' microphones?
