I’m not talking about going on marches, but minor things, that you know about.

Mine is I won’t play Michael Jackson songs, after all the alleged behaviour, which certainly wouldn’t be accepted by today’s standards.

The second is I won’t buy McCain products, after they put out an advert for Smileys, which referred to ‘knocker’s’ in them. I thought that language had died out in the seventies.

I believe survivors of sexual assault too, real evidence, real cases, not where parents try to get millions of dollars settled before they even call the police.
Or drugs their child to get the response they want, to then record the 'abuse' , or already had a history of making accusations that were false like the Arvisos.

As a parent myself, I ask what kind of parent does that? Using their child for money, using them for leverage. Jordan Chandler split from his parents for a reason. His guilty father unalived himself months after Jackson died.

Or where 'victims' one moment say all was well, but next raise cases because they didn't get a job with the estate.

There's just nothing concrete anywhere for me. Epstein and others like Saville there's true evil and evidence.

I believe a child who has slept in the bedroom of an adult male (and that male is literally on camera admitting that he sleeps in the same bed with said child, and that it’s “beautiful”), who then comes forward to give identifying marks on that adult male’s genitalia, which are accurate. Yes, I absolutely believe that child, whether his parents see it as an opportunity to get rich quick or not. Both can be true—the child was sexually assaulted AND the parents wanted money.

I've never mentioned Mark Ruffalo. I was responding to @nomas claiming ZP does "what is right".

You are literally quoting a thread about whether or not Mark Ruffalo is a “good guy”.

I have so many of these boycotts I have to rotate them.

More serious ones, I’ve done many boycotts of Amazon for multiple reasons their impact on the environment, how they treat their workers, the safety of their products. Take your pick. Unfortunately, Amazon is too convenient and these boycotts usually don’t last.
I’ve boycotted many companies for using non sustainable palm oil multiple times but I’ve got to eat so those boycotts generally don’t last.
I’ve also done boycotts over too much single use packaging. They don’t last for the same reason.
I’ve also tried to avoid products with bad air miles/carbon footprint like avocados which sadly I love.

That’s patently ridiculous and more derailing. No one here is the arbiter of anything.

Jews don’t get to define what constitutes racism against them? Wtf??

Seriously, what did you expect me to say? ‘Ooh ok thanks for setting me straight, I can see now how wrong I was, please send my apologies to Mark..’?

I confess I reported Marc Jacobs to the ASA for the camera angles on the Daisy perfume Adverts .All non bra wearing young girls. The authority let it stand. Particularly rebellious as I work in beauty!

I won't buy Trinny beauty as she's rude to big people (my friend included).

Yes it's divisive. I do not agree he meant 'a bed', because the 'bedroom' in this instance is the size of an apartment.

  • No judge or jury ever ruled that there was a match.
  • The claim of a “match” comes from prosecutors’ interpretation, not a legal verdict.
  • The vitiligo disease means anyone describing could provide generic description that 'might' be close

As a parent I would absolutely want to castrate anyone who truly abused children. The reason this is divisive is because there is no true evidence and he was found not guilty on all counts, but people believe what they want potentially because of existing bias and the statements of people who made claims. Being weird and eccentric doesn't mean be did it, but means he did make choices people in the normal world might not, as did the parents.

I linked to a very interesting investigative video if you are interested in seeing that, by someone who looked at all aspects. I'm not expecting it'll change your mind if you are set, but it's eye opening overall.

Do as your conscience directs you. I remember learning in history how people stopped buying South African products here in the uk and other countries too in support of ending apartheid regime there. Israel actually supported the South African apartheid regime and if you visit Ramallah - Palestine authority they have a statue of Nelson Mandela, the Palestinians supported ending the apartheid regime. So again it’s a free country, my conscience leads me one way, so do as yours will. God bless

You choose - JNF or Shurat HaDin? Actually maybe I'll go for both anyway.

Why should they get stuff for free when there's more deserving people?(A family who's 18 year old dad didn't get the mum pregnant at 13 for example)😡

I get boycotting an influencer if you don’t agree with their actions, such as an 18 year old getting a 13 year old pregnant) but saying all influencers are ‘undeserving’ is just jealousy. It is advertising. If you are going to boycott influencers freebies then you need to also boycott any one with an advertising budget.

Plenty of companies do actually pay the general public via freebies for reviews. This is also advertising for the companies. Do you also boycott any company that uses this tactic?

Who is the 18yo influencer who impregnated a young girl? One of the X Kids and Counting sons? Was he arrested?

Genuine question to all the ones who hide books in bookshops…

The only person who you are inconveniencing is the person working there who has to sort the books out. Why would you choose to inconvenience someone who is an innocent party just to make yourselves feel better?

Yes, wouldn’t it be more impactful to write to the store owner and ask them to not stock those books in the first place?

However, I do have an issue with censorship so I can’t condone any limiting of books.

Thing is, bookshops are struggling I think as they become slowly obsolete so I imagine they have to stock even the total shite

Noel Radford. He was 18 and his now wife was 13. But instead of that being a crime, they have gone on to have 20 odd kids and now the older kids are popping out kids of their own, at great cost to the taxpayer and the environment

I kind of agree in that if people are dim enough to follow these people, then fair play to the influencer for taking something out of the gullibility of others

Oh dear. How sad that none of the adults in that Year 8 girl’s life did anything to safeguard her from a grown man.

Apparently it was okay as they were both in and out of care 🙄 And apparently they don’t claim benefits as they have a magic pie shop.

its around a million years ago but I stopped buying Woman and Woman's Own magazines when they did an ad with women singing thank heavens for magazines and ending with the line "Without the weeklies what would all we women do?"

What's the issue with Harry Potter?

Either you've had your head buried in the sand for the last few years, or you're just looking for a fight, and I have no inclination to oblige. JKRowling doesn't deserve my money, end of story.

I absolutely cannot bear them and their smug faces.

And dread to think about how much they're raking in for doing bugger all.

That's a shame. I bought her ridiculously bloated Strike books purely to show my support for her.

What time do you age out? My MIL got breast cancer at 79 and my grandmother got it at 94.

The NHS only offers routine mammograms to women between the ages of 50 and 71. Outside of that window there's no screening automatically offered.

Exactly that. The whole family exists only to grift and pop out kids.
