I have a theory that you can tell a lot about a person's disposition by the state of their butter/marg.

Anyone else dare to bare all?

What to you think I'm like based on my tub? It's "I can't believe it's not butter" (photo probably awaiting approval

I think that people who use marg are kidding themselves its healthy whilst chomping down chocolate etc on the side

youalright · 13/04/2026 09:39

A psycho or you live with teenagers

Morecoffeethanks · 13/04/2026 09:40

Life’s too short for tasteless spread, get real butter and leave it in a butter dish on the counter top.

AbzMoz · 13/04/2026 09:40

Haha! I’m judging the fact you’ve got marg masquerading as butter …
I for one, absolutely can believe that it is not butter!

Crikeyalmightey · 13/04/2026 09:42

You are a butter amateur. Get some Lurpak and learn to use the butter knife properly!

Edited to add, that stuff looks like the putty used to put glass in windows in ye olden times.

ShouldIJustKeepQuiet · 13/04/2026 09:42

Just finished the block of butter so mine doesn’t show much.

Yes get a block of actual butter, this pretendy stuff is horrid.

ShouldIJustKeepQuiet · 13/04/2026 09:45

I don’t like that Lurpack butter is only 200g now but there’s not much I can do about it.

tnorfotkcab · 13/04/2026 09:47

That's not butter.. it literally tells you that it isn't butter on the tub :D

tnorfotkcab · 13/04/2026 09:48

don't buy Lurpak then, buy Kerrygold :)

VillageMilton · 13/04/2026 09:48

Ah, the old 'I can't believe it's not better '.

only Philistines eat marg, OP. We're all judging you very hard.

Chemenger · 13/04/2026 09:50

Get butter, you won’t regret it.

BoogieTownTop · 13/04/2026 09:50

I was expecting home made butter, I am
disappointed.

LegoTherapy · 13/04/2026 09:50

Good God.
Thats an abomination on every level including that it’s not real butter. I think I need a lie down after seeing that.

Hagnumber4 · 13/04/2026 09:50

I love the comments on the fact that it's not butter 😂 I have a milk allergy. I'd love the real stuff

Pearlstillsinging · 13/04/2026 09:51

That is a picture of a UPF not at all healthy for anyone unless they have a milk allergy.

TittyGajillions · 13/04/2026 09:51

It looks like someone stomped in it.

OriginalSkang · 13/04/2026 09:52

Edit: Ah, just saw your update. Sorry!

Just finished the block of butter so mine doesn’t show much.

Id struggle with those black bits in it.

ThirdStorm · 13/04/2026 09:53

I've never understood families who hack at their butter/marg/spread? But there are no crumbs so you get extra points for that!

Hagnumber4 · 13/04/2026 09:54

Crumbs are my level of standard. I would not deal with crumbs

OP posts:
Weeelokthen · 13/04/2026 09:55

You don't have last weeks toast crumbs in it, so I would say it looks pretty good 😂

ShouldIJustKeepQuiet · 13/04/2026 09:56

Hagnumber4 · 13/04/2026 09:52

Id struggle with those black bits in it.

As it was going to be finished normal knife wiping rules didn’t apply. I can’t bear crumbs in butter or even worse remnants of butter in jam or marmite.

Hagnumber4 · 13/04/2026 09:58

No one else up for sharing a candid snap?
