I’m still unable to cope with the seriousness of the situation the Orange Turd has put the world in, so here’s a bit of toilet humour.

They can't end Iran's ability to attack the strait. Remember all that stuff about HAMAS making rockets from water pipes and all that. Even if that was just propaganda, they will still be able to make missiles with the range needed. Don't even need to hit.

Unless he plans a land invasion to push the rockets back. But even then, longer range rockets can be made.

And there are drones. Can buy them off Amazon.

So why were Iran not doing this before the Orange Idiot began his dumb war? If they can strangle the world so easily by bombing the Strait, why haven't they before?

If you are being fired upon as you pootle through the straits then you are probably not overly fussed whether it's a $10,000,000 missile (although I'd be flattered) or a $500 drone with a grenade that can be dropped somewhere very inconvenient.

Plus contending with smart mines that will only detonate for selected targets.

I expect because nobody was at war with them ? And killing their supreme leader must have upset them.

@UnluckyWalnut why would they do it before they were attacked? They would be a huge and very deliberate act of aggression that wouldn’t benefit them. It worked quite nicely as a deterrent against attacking them until somebody put lunatics in charge.

If Iran had tried to control the straits before being attacked, it would have torpedoed their strategic goals (which unlike the US, they clearly have).

The orange arsehole has mistaken things that exist for the projection of power as a deterrent for having actual power. Having shown how easily the Iranians can take out their planes I assume he is about to demonstrate the same with ships.

Good luck hitting that from a plane that can't go less than 100 mph at a height of at least 1,000 metres.

You could power an autonomous drone with a £200 Raspberry Pi computer system. Once launched it could find it's own way to the target(s).

Also you don't need to drop bombs. A drone loaded with a mix of 1,000 nuts and bolts and washers could incapacitate anything it gets a chance sow them over.

Are you trying to say that the worlds biggest superpower with all it's military hardware and knowledge cannot defend a small area of sea from a few drones fired from a country with very little military left? I don't buy it. As dumb as the US have been, I actually feel that if they decide to open the Strait it will happen.
