Thanks for that NYT article. Haberman and Swan usually have good access, so until proven otherwise I'm going to consider it reliable.

According to that article the group of 10 people in the final Situation Room meeting did include the White House communications director and White House press secretary – and didn't include the director of national intelligence, the energy secretary or the Treasury secretary (or any representation from their departments).

That's pretty telling.

So.... they cannot agree to what they have agreed....

Maybe Trump agreed to ceasefire with Lebanon, but Netanyahu refused that one?
This is far far from an actual ceasefire

I guess the chances of the ceasefire going smoothly were never very high considering the characters involved - it didn't go smoothly in Gaza and took at least a couple of attempts to make it happen

Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday afternoon after briefly reopening it following the deal. Iranian state media reported the strait was closed again because of the ongoing Israeli military strikes on Lebanon. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on X that the U.S. must choose between a “ceasefire or continued war via Israel. It cannot have both.”

Can't someone take some enriched uranium into Iran, then bring it back out again and give it to Netanyahu? Because if they don't have some it's going to be difficult for them to let him have any.

They do ... for civilian purposes, not weapons grade enriched tho. Might have to borrow some from Russia.
