Gave up watching it years ago, as the 'students' are recruited for their rowing ability and so it is just a contest between two teams.

I do enjoy Balding's presenting, so glad to see her still doing it.

We have friends who used to live in a flat overlooking the start, and they had a Boat Race party every year - we went once, with the dc, and it was a great occasion.

Me too, Cambridge all the way. Another clean sweep would be lovely, if slightly less likely than in previous years, I think.

Yes I’m very excited. My daughter rowed for her college at Cambridge in 2021/2 but says this is the first year she doesn’t know any of the rowers.

Me. I was in the reserve women’s boat a thousand years ago. There’s a link though as the mother of one of the Cambridge men was in the same squad as me.
