BillieWiper · 03/04/2026 12:54

Omg...I don't understand how but there's one for over 20k pm. 4 bed?! It's not even a standalone house as far as I can see.

£6,500 for a 5 bed here, although TBF it was just one listing most are around the £1,500 mark (or you can get a scabby garage for £72!).
House prices still shock the hell out of me, how the heck does anybody afford to live these days!!?😬

ProjectHailMary · 03/04/2026 13:29

£10,000pcm for a 6 bedroom property.

Bristolandlazy · 03/04/2026 13:31

Why are you asking, I saw a similar thread about house prices.

ProjectHailMary · 03/04/2026 13:32

Not much listed to rent at all though, tbh.

What’s the purpose of this, @NewLion? It will obviously vary enormously by area.

Gribbit987 · 03/04/2026 13:34

173k. It’s hideous 🤣

This hideous monstrosity: 3 bed, but does have a basement pool. £8000 per month. https://www.zoopla.co.uk/to-rent/details/72225499/?search_identifier=fda1e3b8e6cbde937a2b946ef78465dbcd000db9e1212829abb076fdd8062802

£5000 per month.

8 bedrooms apparently, but you wouldn't guess from looking at the frontage.

A strange advert though. They're including all bills and council tax, and are making it very clear it's aimed at the short term market.

Eudaimonia11 · 03/04/2026 13:58

The lowest was a 1 bed tiny flat for £950 per month and the highest was a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom apartment in a fancy tower block for £12500 per month

Ohcrap082024 · 03/04/2026 13:59

£10k pcm for a 4 bed house

Tigerbalmshark · 03/04/2026 14:04

I live in a very average part of south London, but prime central London is closer than you might imagine.

AtLeastIDidntUseASpoon · 03/04/2026 14:09

£1500 pcm - Furnished - 4 beds - 5 bathrooms - 3 receptions. Large garden & lots of parking. Looks really big and nice inside.

£7995 per month, 6 bed house in a nice suburban area but honestly not very nice inside.

Things are so bad that I can't tell if 5000 a month for a 2 bed flat is a mistake of not!

Didntask · 03/04/2026 15:04

£1750 for a 5 bed. We live in the middle of nowhere, so there's only 11 in total within a 5 mile radius of me on Zoopla.

Rawesome · 03/04/2026 15:06

Turns out it wasn't a mistake because theres a one bed for 3500

Apparently it's expensive to retire in Chichester!
