I've just logged off the PC, put on my out of office until Tues.
Sat in the garden with a G&T enjoying the sunshine.
It's going to rain tomorrow and Sun, but Mon looks promising.
I might even go to Maundy mass later.

What about you?

From 6.30pm I will be!
like many regular office hours people I am taking 4 days AL to get a 10 day stretch.
I haven’t had that in a LONG time!
No lie in tomorrow as I have a 5 mile race at 9.15am

WonderfulUsername · 02/04/2026 13:49

I'm working all weekend.

I don't do daytime boozing but I am going for a meal with friends tonight, where I shall definitely have a few glasses of wine.

Stirabout · 02/04/2026 13:56

Today, Maundy Thursday, is the end of Lent so
we’ll be having a big gathering and meal this evening

Isekaied · 02/04/2026 13:58

No

At work til 6

dontforgetme · 02/04/2026 13:58

Cheers op!

I have mowed the lawns and deep cleaned the house today, had a nice chilled first week of the Easter break as we all needed it. Easter weekend will officially start when we meet dp in the pub garden when he finishes work.

tealandteal · 02/04/2026 14:00

No, still at work and the kids are still in school. Roll on 5pm!

MrsClattenburg · 02/04/2026 14:05

Yes 😊

Finished at 4pm yesterday and back in on Wednesday. Today is annual leave but then we get a 5 day Bank Holiday so 6 days off for 1 days leave!

EasterDecoration · 02/04/2026 14:07

No, normal day here. Only real difference for me is Monday off as I don't work Fridays.

user2848502016 · 02/04/2026 14:07

No but am WFH today and been really busy so far so I’m going to try and log off at 4pm then I’m out of office until the 13th!

Need to drive tomorrow morning so no wine tonight but might have a G&T to celebrate

TragicMuse · 02/04/2026 14:11

My employer gives us Thursday and Tuesday off, no need to save leave. So my loooong weekend began when I logged off last night!

I’ve done shopping and now I’m going to do nothing else but read on the sofa.

Perfect, really!

Bettercallsalli · 02/04/2026 14:16

Ahhh some lovely replies. The more i sit here, the more the grass is asking to be cut!
So much for a chilled afternoon haha.
But my Tulips are just opening and that makes me happy. It's the little things right now.
Have a lovely Easter everyone 🐣🐣

I prepared the church for Good Friday today. Does that count?

JellyComb · 02/04/2026 14:24

Yes. I made lunch and decided to set the garden table with a nice tablecloth. The husband and I sat and ate spring pea and bacon pasta with a nice glass of rose in the sunshine. Felt like we were on holiday!

JustSayingReally · 02/04/2026 14:27

Yes! Finished work at 2pm, a lovely 2 weeks off now.
I’m so ready for it

JumpinJehoshaphat · 02/04/2026 14:29

Meeting friends in a pub once we all log off, so it’ll be starting at about 5 ☺️

CocoaTea · 02/04/2026 14:30

Maundy Thursday service at 7pm tonight.

Yes, I wasn't needed at work most of the week (still get paid) so technically my weekend started at 12 noon on Tuesday. Making carrot cake muffins to take to OH's aunt & uncle in the New Forest tomorrow. Also done loads of washing while the weather is good & been to the gym every day

Myneighbourisanosyoldgit · 02/04/2026 14:43

I don't do the religious aspect or anything easter related as I'm a pagan, it's just another weekend.
But to those who are having a break, have a great time and that you get great weather where you are.🙂

1AnotherOne · 02/04/2026 14:47

I don’t celebrate religiously but I am enjoying some time off. Off from my full time job since Tuesday so one week off. Worked yesterday morning at my side hustle and that’s that! Having a chilled week really. Seeing some friends, family, gym, catching up with some TV, nice dog walks.

Ineedanewsofa · 02/04/2026 14:49

Yes, worked until lunchtime, took DD and DH out to lunch, picked up some milk for my DM and couldn’t resist the bunches of discounted tulips so now I’ve got beautiful flowers in the living room and the kitchen.
Taking DD to her lesson later, tomorrow will be ponies, cleaning and prepping for two lots of family over the weekend. I plan to do very little on Monday!

Chatterlyssecret · 02/04/2026 14:54

I have only just realised that it’s Good Friday tomorrow, that’s what living alone & not seeing anyone for days does . Happy Easter everyone.🍷🐣

emnetstrozzapreti · 02/04/2026 15:06

No. I don't get tomorrow or Monday off, so it's just a normal Thursday here. 😔

skippy67 · 02/04/2026 15:08

Yep. Logged off at 11 this morning. Not back at work until 14th😁😁

CallingOnTheMegaphone · 02/04/2026 15:09

No, it's only Thursday and I'm working. Easter is nowhere near as big a deal in Scotland as it seems to be in England going by posts on here. Just a normal weekend for me, with added chocolate!
