I've just logged off the PC, put on my out of office until Tues.
Sat in the garden with a G&T enjoying the sunshine.
It's going to rain tomorrow and Sun, but Mon looks promising.
I might even go to Maundy mass later.

What about you?

We have just sold our house , and although likely to be a while until we actually move as we are in a chain my husband has decided to take today off work and clear out the loft with me helping (no I didn’t volunteer) …..so today we have been clearing junk accumulated over the 30 years of living here, sorted a lot of it into rubbish, charity and keeping piles and I’ve just now collapsed on the sofa . Tomorrow will be more sorting through and Saturday the skip runs ….. oh and Sunday apparently we can have a rest and maybe go out for Lunch …..I’m thinking I’m gonna be too knackered!

Dh has tried to convince me that this weekend is ‘the one’ to sort the garden out. I’ve made supportive sounds but did an evil grinch style grin when I checked the forecast and it’s going to piss it down here 😂 which shouldn’t really make me as happy as it has done!

Although I do have several piles of clothes that need bagging and donating over the weekend so there’s a job I’ve just created for myself 🥴

Mine was supposed to start today with relatives arriving but I ve come down with a tummy upset so we've had to put them off. Feel rubbish😭

No! Started leave last week. Off until next Wednesday as I has AL to use up. Rest of the team is off next week so will get some peace to catch up!

I have now! Long drive ahead of us as we head up to the North Yorkshire coast. It’s been a mental week and I hadn’t even started the packing at lunchtime so I have been racing around like a mad person and now relieved to finally be in the car. DH is driving and the kids are asleep. A large G&T is my plan for when we arrive. Weather looks total shite but we will make the best of it!

Yes!
Every year on Maundy Thursday we walk the 'Lepe Loop' if the weather's ok (a New Forest beach,) then have lunch at a cafe in Beaulieu, then walk to Buckler's Hard.

In the evening we go to the footwashing at church.
I don't have my feet washed though as they're funny old feet these days.
It's a beautiful service with the atmosphere though.

I love our Easter traditions; they mark the season and time passing to me.

Yes we should remember Mary Magdalene as well today. She and Jesus had a special connection.

I kind of started mine on Saturday (teacher) but that doesn't really count as Easter weekend Grin. It's ds' 18th birthday so we are going out for a fancy dinner on Sunday. We don't otherwise actually do anything Eastery tbh.

I did not get to relax after all. I had just made dinner when DD reminded me I was supposed to drive her to church (she has to attend a service over Easter to get a mark on her confirmation school card) so had to leave my dinner and drive her there, then when I got back I had to search for something I had confiscated from DS and hid so well that I couldn't find it, then I had to go back out again to pick DD up. I am having a well deserved beer now and finally starting my Easter holiday!
