What will you do to mark the late Queen's 100th?

On 21st April 2026, it will be what would have been the late HMTQ's 100th birthday.

Even though she passed away nearly four years ago, I know some people still miss her.

So, will you be commemorating the day or remember your late sovereign in any way on that day? Maybe a minute or two of silence or watching some royal documentaries or attending a church service of remembrance since I've heard some churches will be doing so?

Or, have you decided not to?

Who?

Rowrowrowmachine · 20/03/2026 08:53

Nothing. Anything ex Queen, new King, Andrew related just makes me shudder these days.

SockPlant · 20/03/2026 08:55

i will be joining in any coordinated online campaigns for the royal family to put Her Maj's 2nd son and his entire family, and descendants out of the line of succession, to strip them of all titles and hand Andrew over to the police investigating Epstein. (if there are any)

I don't have a sovereign, dead or alive.

CharlotteRumpling · 20/03/2026 08:57

Not a damn thing. This isn't the Royal board so I hope I can say I despised her and the rest of the royals.

PhoebeFluffingtonFyffe · 20/03/2026 08:59

It's also my grandad's 100th the same day. He always said the stork must have been pissed to mix up the delivery instructions for him and Liz. We're going for a family meal at a very good restaurant and we'll drink to her, too.

I wish the stork had got it right because my uncle is vastly superior to Andrew. But then again, most people are.

lol

Thinking about it, Netflix is going tits up for Harry, so I’m sure he could turn “granny” into a money spinner. That’ll give you something to follow OP.

CharlieSays13 · 20/03/2026 09:00

I shall be doing the sum total of feck all....much like herself

MrsTrellisOgleddCymru · 20/03/2026 09:01

Absolutely nothing! However my aunt, DM and I are going out to my DGMs favourite restaurant to celebrate what would have been her 100th on the 13th April, DMs 80th and my 60th! All in the space of 12weeks.

You can say that on the Royal board too!

WinterCarlisle · 20/03/2026 09:02

ummmmmmmm let me think…….

Nothing. Also I don’t actually know what date it even is 🤷🏽‍♀️

Can’t stand the royals at the best of times let alone now.

Dobequiet · 20/03/2026 09:03

It’s a Tuesday so working and going to the gym. Might go wild and have a pizza afterwards to celebrate.

What about you op? Won’t you be at the daily planet looking nervous around Lois Lane and getting ready to run into a phone booth?

Thereissnowinmywellies · 20/03/2026 09:05

Why would you be doing anything? She's dead.🤔

MiddleAgedDread · 20/03/2026 09:05

decorate the house palace, Queen's birthday eve boxes for the kids, new matching crowns for everyone, ride our bikes down the street and wave to everyone, roast swan for dinner

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 20/03/2026 09:05

Nothing she’s dead

purpleme12 · 20/03/2026 09:06

Nothing

I'm sure it's sad for the people who did know her but I can't miss someone who I never knew!

LarrySherbert · 20/03/2026 09:09

I didn't mark her birthday in any way before she was dead so I'm not starting now. It's bad enough keeping up with all the birthdays of people I actually know and are alive.

PuppiesProzacProsecco · 20/03/2026 09:12

Ideally, I'd buy myself this magnificent painting but in reality, I probably have more essential things to spend my money on. I do love it though!

I have the greatest of respect for her, and consider her our last monarch as I have no time at all for her son, but my own father died when he wasn't even half her age, so commemorating people who are 100 doesn't really sit well with me I'm afraid.

Who is your article for? I'm guessing the Daily Fail.

Harry is the only Royal I don't associate with the Epstein stuff. I have surprised myself by admitting that 🤣

Also, I don't think her complicity with AMBs criminal activities leaves much to admire. She knew and did nothing.

Agree

BananaSkinShoes · 20/03/2026 09:19

What will I be doing? Absolutely fuck all. Like all the other normal people.

Hoppinggreen · 20/03/2026 09:22

Eh?
Is this a thing?
I have no strong feelings about The Royal family one way or another but WTF would I celebrate what would have been a dead persons Birthday if they weren't dead? I don't do that for my Mum
