Seeing other people’s transactions when viewing my current account online

Morning, has anyone else had this? My account balances are all fine and normal, I click into my current account and 3 times now I can see other peoples transaction history, money in, money out etc
its very unsettling

Very weird. I'd take some screenshots and send them to your bank.

CrocusesFlowering · 12/03/2026 08:12

Do you mean you have online access to other people’s accounts?
Or you have a joint account with another person?

GypsumFantastic · 12/03/2026 08:12

I have of course contacted the bank who seem very chill about it and advice me to clear my cookies and log in again

Yes! Literally just this second logged in to transfer money to dp and the balance was right but none of the transactions were mine.

GypsumFantastic · 12/03/2026 08:13

No joint account, logging into my own account shows me other people transactions

I would contact the complaints team in the bank asap

EvangelineTheNightStar · 12/03/2026 08:13

What banks are you with?

Inventorofthetoasterstreudel · 12/03/2026 08:13

I didn’t get a chance to screenshot as I hit the home button and went back in and all was normal.

DreamOfTheRarebitFiend · 12/03/2026 08:15

Can you only see the transactions, or could you access someone else's funds? 😬

Just view it, I scrolled down as the first I noticed was a faster payment then a chargeback for it and thought that was weird.

I then scrolled further and not one thing was related to my account. Hit the back button and then went back into that account and all was normal.

No joint account here.

Maybe delete the app for 24 hours completely, then re download it with new password and maybe face recognition incase someone is trying to to get into your account

PineappleCoconut · 12/03/2026 09:16

Lots of comments on Twitter about the same happening on the Lloyds app. They are telling people it’s a glitch and to log out and in again.

Imlyingandthatsthetruth · 12/03/2026 09:17

Not sure why posters (and the bank) are being so blasé about this, it would seem to be a pretty blatant data breach, surely?

Can you see the account holders details? Name? Account number? If not then I suppose it's less serious, if you can I would say it's very serious, and as it's happened more than once I don't see how the bank can brush it off.

My lloyds app is fine.

As others, I don't get why they are chilled about that!

Witchesbe · 12/03/2026 09:22

Quick ask, any of the people who have the glitch saw names? Dh and I are moving money around so the transfers show our names.

jessycake · 12/03/2026 09:29

I saw on Threads it was the Halifax , but mine is fine

MsGreying · 12/03/2026 09:45

Appalling. Something is seriously wrong.

I don't know if this is the same for everyone but I can't take screenshots of my online banking on my phone...

FrenchandSaunders · 12/03/2026 09:48

Yes me too, just started and thread and then seen this. My balance was as it should be but I could see someone elses wages, the company who paid them, child benefit, DWP and all the usual transactions.

Logged out and in and it was another persons transactions complete with wages etc.

JustJoinedRightNow · 12/03/2026 09:53

This is terrible!

CrocusesFlowering · 12/03/2026 09:55

That's shocking!

FinnJuhl · 12/03/2026 10:04

The papers are starting to pick up on this now. Lloyds Banking Group are trying to brush it off as a 'glitch' which is shocking.

Also shocking is how Lloyds accessed bank account data from 30,000 of their own staff, to use this information against staff as part of pay negotiations.

No doubt they will get a telling off from the Information Commissioners Office, while their Chief Exec, Charlie Nunn, pockets his £13 million pound bonus.

jessycake · 12/03/2026 10:06

I can’t understand why they are not doing anything about this , apart from saying log in and out again because although mine looks fine , I don’t actually know If someone else is seeing my transactions and will we have any problems later on .
