Morning, has anyone else had this? My account balances are all fine and normal, I click into my current account and 3 times now I can see other peoples transaction history, money in, money out etc
its very unsettling

My Lloyds app just won't open at all Confused

Maybe they've taken it down while they sort it out?

My lloyds app is fine.

As others, I don't get why they are chilled about that!

What's the worse that can happen ?

50NotFat · 12/03/2026 10:39

My app was fine this morning but just tried to log on to check something and the app now won’t open at all.

This is actually fucking shocking

Now I’m just getting this.

What's the worse that can happen ?

If people are seeing other's transactions they might be able to see names. For example on mine they would see DH's name and my name with quite some sums after them as we were moving savings around. Our names are pretty unique to UK.... It's a breach and serious one if names show

I didn't ask what bad things can happen to customers - noone gives a fuck about them.

The question was what is the worse that can happen to the bank ?

Oh, yes. Now you see the point ....

Tel12 · 12/03/2026 10:49

This obviously means there's a good chance other people can see your account. Kick up a fuss

"Lessons will be learned"
"Deeply sorry"
"Fuck off"

In that order.

Any fine will be counted as the cost of doing business and in no way will exceed the money saved from skimping on system development.

Ah. Probably a fine which we will cover anyway!

SideshowAuntSallyxx · 12/03/2026 10:55

This is a known thing this morning. Martin Lewis has mentioned it on his Facebook page.

SpringhasSprung26 · 12/03/2026 10:55

Whose accounts are you seeing? Just random people or people you already pay for example?

I can’t log in to Lloyds now at all.

You're learning ...

We take pronoun protection far more seriously than data protection in the UK. Ask Harry the Owl. I bet there aren't any police officers knocking at Halifax' door asking to check their thinking.

I have of course contacted the bank who seem very chill about it and advice me to clear my cookies and log in again

That would have me wanting to change banks frankly. If it was “there is a known issue, pleases log out, clear cache and log in again, we will be contacting affected customers later” I’d suspend judgement.

If it was “oh just try turning it off and on again” with no acknowledgement of a serious data breach I be checking how quickly I could move my account. Not because of the fault per se but because of a casual attitude to customer security.

You are very much in the minority.

The fact that Lloyds has any customers after the 2018 hiccup was a clear signal to UK banks that they had spent far too much on customer service.

random people, not anybody I've heard of ... I'm London based, these were all Scottish transactions.

I'm sure they aren't chilled about it and are frantically working on the glitch but they are chill with the customer because they know about it and are working on it. No point a customer services rep getting in a flap about it.

Inventorofthetoasterstreudel · 12/03/2026 12:26

I tried contacting them about it but just got the useless AI bot that couldn’t understand my problem, however I phrased it, got asked would you like to speak to a person? Answered yes, have heard nothing.

I’d already moved most of my banking elsewhere just kept this one for direct debits and transfers but may well ditch it altogether now. I’m not the nosy type so didn’t scroll through too much but anyone who could see mine would’ve seen the names of my partner and kids who I transfer money to regularly.

They really have nothing to lose. No bonuses will be affected, so it's hardly a real problem.

I could see full names, DWP payment references and full transactions. Online help was useless

Trofeos · 12/03/2026 13:59

They should have downed access as soon as it was discovered.
to be fair though when someone probably phoned a call centre and said there are transactions i dont recognise - the staff probably thought fraud.

Wonder if it also affected people accessing via internet logon.

When you click on a transaction you can usually see more info which may give away more info to whoever was looking.

Crazy, is this still ongoing? Huge data breach.

Edited

Some could see details of transactions, which revealed users' workplaces, salaries, charitable donations, and more.

I am speechless.
