I hate saying his name.
The vile creature who killed Holly and Jessica in 2002. Has been seriously assaulted in prison.

Why? He murdered 2 little girls in cold blood. He deserves everything he gets 😆

He deserves life imprisonment, which he got.

Escalating and encouraging violence is never a good or sensible response.

You're arguing with those who would be knitting by the gallows in days gone past to get their kicks - I wouldn't bother.

I really wish the press would stop reporting on this monster. It must be so triggering for the families of the girls.

I thought that too.

BatchCookBabe · 26/02/2026 14:43

Yeah, I am sick of the press telling is that he has been assaulted. Every. Single Time. Just let us know when he's dead. Why do we need to be told every single time he receives a kicking?!

plantseeds · 26/02/2026 14:23

Irrespective of the awfulness of his crimes, there is something very ugly about those who celebrate and encourage extreme violence.

Normally I would agree with you but I will make an exception for him

Completely agree! Piece of shit deserves it after what he put those girls through

Thesofathatwas · 26/02/2026 14:47

Feel sorry for the Drs & Nurses who have to look after the vile cunt.

If they'd brought the death penalty back just for him, I don't think many people would have minded.

Really

His actions were deplorable but there are many evil men who have taken the lives of girls and young women who were quietly going about their business.

There is nothing that particularly stands out apart from the press attention.

loislovesstewie · 26/02/2026 14:24

His attackers are probably other murderers. Perhaps think about that?

It’s ok really. Huntley deserves far worse than any punishment we can legally give him, so this way he gets a punishment “top up” and some scummy murderers stay inside longer than whatever weak sentence they probably initially got for their other crimes, and society has still maintained the moral high ground.

it’s really not worth getting upset about.

I believe in the USA they say “the trash taking out the trash”, a win all round.

This.

Yes, he's a dreadful man. Yes, he should be away from victims in prison. Yes, he deserves punishment.

But prisons should be safe. Because when the state takes away someone's liberty, they should be responsible for them. For every 'monster' who is assaulted, many more nameless young men are assaulted in prison and we never hear about it.

I want justice, yes. But not vigilante justice.

I agree, it's not, though it is an understandable response. Justice has been served, but nothing will bring the girls back & folk are allowed to be angry still.

I think spending many years never being sure when you will be attacked again (& knowing that many inside & out of prison will think you richly deserve it) is apt. Certainly a longer torment but a less final one (of course, if he survives he is now a victim too & may try to utilise that for more than just financial gain ?)

I don’t want to pay for his life imprisonment. I’d rather he was dead.

Well in my opinion we should bring the death penalty back for them, they wouldn’t be doing it again then.
According to google 12 people were murdered in an eight year period by someone who had previously been imprisoned for murder.
Imagine if that was your child.

MissMoneyFairy · 26/02/2026 15:00

He's been attacked several times before, I doubt anyone really cares.

"At least 190 people who were sentenced to death in the United States have been exonerated and released since 1973."

Many many more. And that's those who were released. There have been posthumous pardons as well.

He deserves death. I don't agree with the death penalty because of cases where innocent people have been wrongly convicted.

But he still deserves death. It's just a shame we have to keep him alive.

Someone once said to me that it's a shame that prison officers aren't able to look the other way for 30 seconds or so.

And this I think is the crux.

He deserves death and pain. He does. But as a civilised country we should neither inflict it nor allow it to be inflicted.

Because we aren't him. We're better.

No one here is encouraging or escalating violence.
He chose to commit the ultimate abhorrent crime , i can't imagine any one having the tiniest shred of sympathy for his pain/injuries following this attack, in fact i think it would be more normal for the majority of people to want him to suffer .

Edited

I'm not upset. I just don't think we should be
A) glad that murderers commit more crimes.
B) happy that anyone in prison is assaulted or murdered.
There have been numerous people over the years who have subsequently been exonerated of their crimes. Andrew Malkinson for example was sentenced to life for rape and subsequently cleared. Peter Sullivan spent 38 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. I suspect that people would have been happy if either had been beaten up by fellow prisoners, because they were 'guilty'.

MissMoneyFairy · 26/02/2026 15:12

There were 2,500 serious prisoner on prisoner assaults last year, the media don't need to sensationalise his attack, they should concentrate more on reporting prisoner,on staff assaults. Don't report what's happened, let him disappear into the void where he and others like him deserve to be.

Honestly i would think the opposite. Death would be a sweet release. There would be more justice if he lived a long, lonely life of misery (preferably with chronic and painful illness).

I still would love to know what happened or his motives. To me it's still one of the most shocking stories I ever heard.
