I hope he and Andrew are soon taking cold showers, eating slop and are terrified that any point they might be attacked.
Of course even if they are convicted this is white collar crime and they will probably avoid the toughest prisons.

I thought Mandelson's crime was allegedly leaking sensitive docs? It's not great but I'm not sure it's a crime that would see me revelling in him living in fear of getting stabbed/having hot sugar thrown over him etc. I certainly didn't wish the same fate on Rachel Reeves for defrauding the government with her expenses.

Resemblance? She has a box covering her entire face! Having long brown hair is not a unique characteristic.

That says more about your minds than the photo.

Pardon? Our minds?

Paul2023 · 23/02/2026 21:27

Even if nothing further comes of Mandelson, he’s been nicked, and spent a few hours sweating in a cop shop. Let alone the humiliation and what little dignity he had left has now all gone.

And it couldn’t have happened to a nicer person !

Paul2023 · 23/02/2026 21:29

Well Starmer has said how no one is above the law..

First Prince Andrew, now Peter Mandelson. My,how the mighty have fallen.

Keep em coming..

AllaMova · 23/02/2026 21:31

Who’ll be next, Fergie, perhaps?

Wolmando · 23/02/2026 21:31

I wonder if he will have to spend tonight in a cell as they arrested him quite late in the afternoon

Boris Johnson had parties at Downing Street while countless ordinary people died alone and distressed in hospital because of the rules he imposed.

Yet he got a fixed penalty notice. How was his abuse not misconduct in public office?

Because I suppose that’s the maximum sentence with the law at the time.

Custodial sentences weren’t given for people breaking Covid laws.

Fixed penalties was the punishment. It was a law that was quickly drafted in, with any law there are sentencing guidelines. Imprisonment wasn’t an option.

I hope so. With the cheapest microwave meal they can find.

Sadly, I think he’ll be released late tonight. He’ll have the finest lawyers fighting his corner.

Interesting how Mandelson was given a £40k payoff for his time as US ambassador, yet the post office victims and civil service pensioners are still waiting for their money.

He should have been locked up years ago. Him and his Teflon mate

Babsandherwabs · 23/02/2026 20:42

Not the main issue of course but why aren’t these people being arrested in normal police cars?? Andrew’s looked plush AF. Lights and sirens and full markings please 😁

I was hoping that when Mandy got into the car one of the policeman would put his hand on his head and push him in the car like they do in films.

No such luck unfortunately, which is a shame because it would also have messed up that very bouffant hairdo.

Maybe a good candidate for a future president 😂but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I so wanted that to happen.

Outrageous, isn't it? 😡

What about the Civil Servants who allegedly knew stuff about AMW's behaviour?
Why didn't they say anything at the time?

Some.did apparently, but their bosses shut it down, or at least didnt act on it.

Good - POS!!! He helped cause the 2008 crash. Quite apart from his sick behaviour.

I can't stand him, I think he's vile, but he didn't help cause the 2008 Crash.

Beesandhoney123 · 23/02/2026 22:49

It amazes me mandelson passed vetting. Presumably he has had access to all sorts of secret documents in his recent role. Bit of a fuck up right there.

The stories have been leaking for years about the Prince of Darkness. Stamer, in his previous job and now as current PM must have been very aware of the dangers of Mandelson.
So, what did Starmer get in return? Because there is no way he hasnt got or been promised something. He has form. Free glasses, free flats, free holidays...

I do hope so but the rumours are that she has left the UK . I wonder if AMW is considered a flight risk and if so what they are doing about it.

Good. Something of the night, indeed.

Ah, now that was Micheal Howard, named thus by Anne Widdecombe.
Mandy was 'Prince of Darkness' was he not?
What a shower!
