They're starting with misconduct in public office for both of them which carries a high tariff if convicted. I imagine that if they don't feel they can make that stick they will down grade it to breach of the Official Secrets Act - it would be hard to see how either could wriggle out of that one as its clear they have passed on government information.

If the Epstein files have emails of confidential trade information from Mandelson, wiping his devices may not be enough especially if they find corresponding payments going in the other direction.

We've known "Mandy" was dodgy since the 1990s. I was frequently surprised he hadn't been cancelled yet and was in fact a "Lord".

It will actually make his case worse as there will be a trail of him trying to destroy evidence. He knows this. He knew the game was up the minute he was recalled from his ambassadorship. In fact, he knew before then - I’m pretty sure it’s partly why he was so authentically gung-ho about Trump. He wasn’t faking those smiles in the Oval Office. He thought he’d be able to get this stuff buried once and for all post-Maxwell.

He should have been arrested a long time ago along with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Despicable sleazeballs the pair of them! It’s a pity Virginia Giuffre had to die by suicide before anyone took any notice. May she now rest in peace.
