For me it’s:

people who think that Michael Jackson isn’t a pedophile.

people who say things like “Londanistan” “Bradfordistan”

People who say “If the Holocaust is real, why do the tattoo numbers only go up to 5 digits”

OP posts:

Farage, Trump, Robinson supporters

Racists and misogynists

People who use AI to run their life, write job applications and so on

Flag shaggers

People who wear white gym socks over leggings. Looks dumb.
People who wear the massive black glasses in vogue now. Looks cartoonish and dumb.
People who have big feet (especially men with hairy feet) who wear sandals. Looks like Hobbit feet and dumb.
People who lift weights so that they develop huge bum and thigh muscles (mostly women). Looks dumb and cartoonish.

Edited

People who use the word dumb when they are not the referring to someone who is in fact mute.
I am strong with well defined muscles including legs and glutes. I do it as part of a healthy lifestyle in knowledge that it will keep me fit and healthy into old age and help stave of a whole host of potential diseases.

Is she wanting intimate care carried out by someone with a better understanding of her anatomy and experiences? No, she's not transphobic.

This is what I said earlier. Everyone should have the right to be comfortable with whoever is carrying out intimate care on them. Not sure where you got the impression I believe otherwise?

Sorry, @DontGoJasonWaterfalls - I misread the thread. My apologies.

You know very well that’s not what geography is.

They're usually experts at colouring in though 😉

LeafyMcLeafFace · 07/02/2026 11:49

Not if she’s not transphobic, they’re two different things.

Oh, that’s good to know. I was worried you were saying that women who are concerned about biological males in their sex based spaces were transphobic.

GhettoSnoopystar · 07/02/2026 17:07

DontGoJasonWaterfalls · 07/02/2026 13:02

I'm not @LeafyMcLeafFace but agree with their initial statement.

It's impossible to say if she's transphobic just from this information. Is she demanding that the nurse be removed from her job and calling her slurs? Then yeah, she's transphobic. Is she wanting intimate care carried out by someone with a better understanding of her anatomy and experiences? No, she's not transphobic.

It's like saying "This woman was waiting for a train, is she transphobic?". Well it all depends, if she was marching up and down the train platform shouting "I think we should exterminate all tr***a" then yeah, she is. If she was just standing there waiting for the train then no, she isn't.

This is good to know. I don’t know anybody that would use slurs. I only know women who were worried about their sex based spaces and rights.

GhettoSnoopystar · 07/02/2026 17:09

DontGoJasonWaterfalls · 07/02/2026 13:14

Depends on why.

Doesn't understand trans identities? Not transphobic.
Knows that the nurse prefers to be referred to as a woman, but gets confused/forgets? Not transphobic.
Knows that the nurse prefers to be referred to as a woman but goes out of her way to call them a man consistently? Transphobic.

I don't agree with the use of marriage-based titles for women because I think they're rooted in sexism and patriarchy; I'll still call someone Mrs _ or Miss _ and take their lead in that because it respects their choice, and in return I'd like them to respect my wish to be called by my first name.

In the same way, there has to be a middle ground where a patient can say "I understand that this nurse is a trans woman, I'd rather she doesn't carry out any intimate care on me and that a biologically female nurse does so instead", and the nurse says "hey yeah fair enough I'll get one of my colleagues because it's important that you're comfortable".

But on Mumsnet and Reddit there's no calm middle ground easy resolution like that; Mumsnet insists that the evil nasty trans person only did three years of nurse training to perv on this random woman, and Reddit insists that the evil nasty old woman doesn't deserve treatment of she won't take it from this random nurse. Both sides are utterly radicalised but won't accept it.

Respectfully, I think that’s a lot to expect from a vulnerable, elderly (or otherwise) woman. They might not feel able to say no in that scenario.

People who cannot or will not see that there's a difference between feeling that someone probably has done something criminal and actually having evidence that will stand up in court. We don't need to have people hanged by a lynch mob in 2026 but some still have that mentality.

I was on my way out but noticed you'd asked this question. For a moment I wondered who LL is/was but I guess Lucy Letby and no, I wasn't referring to the thread about her. I'm trying to reduce my Mumsnet time and I haven't even looked at that one.

Ah, good as it has a fair few conspiracy theorists there.

Purplebunnie · 07/02/2026 19:42

People who stand on the edge of a cliff where there are signs everywhere telling you that the cliffs are not safe and that there are falls regularly. And the family who went down the steps at Birling Gap where there were signs not to and got stranded by a cliff fall and had to be rescued as they couldn't get back up the steps

Yeah , you see crap like that drives me crazy .
I was saying in my earlier post , people who go swimming in conditions like storms where there are warnings not to , but they still do it endangering rescue crews lives .
Absolute idiots !!!!!

Where I live there’s an island you can access when the tide is out. The tide times are clearly stated before you cross yet still people get stranded on said island and the coast guard has to come out to rescue them. Annoys me so much! They should be charged or fined, there’s no excuse.

Here in Ireland now if people go out swimming when there are warnings in place they are penalised .
There have been red weather warnings here before , & individuals have gone out in the sea .
Personally if I was the boss of the Country 😂
Once they were rescued, they’d be arrested !

I think I know where you are talking about. It annoys me greatly too.

People dying whilst trying to get a selfie
Cliff edge, high buildings along the lines of illegal climbs and teetering on a postage stamp.
What could possibly go wrong.

Lots of videos on you tube of people hanging off buildings at dizzying heights..nope.

Well yes, because all “trans women” are male. It’s their single defining feature. Adult males are men. Hope this helps.

Anyone can exclude anyone from carrying out intimate care on them on any basis, so yes to that one.

Trans women in the UK are legally excluded from designated women's only spaces, so yes to that too.

I refer to them as trans women so I'd say "based on the fact they're trans women", you refer to them as men so you say "based on the fact they're men". I think that's an important distinction, you might not. That's ok though 🙂

Goodness, why would this group of “women” be excluded from women’s spaces, that seems unfair and discriminatory? Which it would be, if they were women. However, as you know perfectly well, they are not, however you dance around it.

Yes, but who cares about her when there’s a man’s identity to pander to? She should have to beg in the most conciliatory way possible making it clear that it’s her that’s being awkward, not the man putting her in that position.

And if all else fails, we can always resort to a laughing emoji
